I'm actually excited that someone is writing about this place and have a pretty honest rating.
I don't remember if I ever rated a restaurant this low but definitely lowest in Japan.
Service - as good as expected in Japan. Always impressed with the service attitude of Japanese service industry. 👍🏼 Value - Some may considered it ridiculous to charge 300 yen service charge not minimum spend to eat here. As tourist and with 4 people, my kids don't want to wait for other places. Foods were disappointed. So disappointed I didn't even take pictures for many of our dishes.
Nagoya teba - it's more like fried than grilled. Didn't put a lot of seasoning... Honey and pepper.
Yakionigiri - The flavor is ok. But rice is too moist, the rice ball was not crispy enough.
Okonomiyaki - That was a joke. Used eggs instead of flour and proper ingredient like squids and cabbage etc. Just didn't taste right now the sauce is fine cause you can buy okonomiyaki sauce from anywhere
Chicken and pork skewer - Too salty. Way too salty. Not grilled long enough, I mean it's cooked but lack of the charred flavor not the grilled marks.
The chicken karage was not bad. Good flavor and crispy.
I see no proper attitude in the food making. It's just cook something to make some money.
They only plus here is no wait and has lots of table. Now I know...
Read more4 stars for being charged just to sit down. I've seen in the comments that only foreigners are being charged extra just to sit in the restaurant which they did it to me and my family. This problem happens all the time in my home country Thailand which I hated it. I never thought this would be the case in highly developed and civilized country. Other than this service is good, they speak English (or at least understand English but reply in Japanese 🤣 they got the menu right is fine) the food is good. Please treat everyone equally And reply my comment if I'm wrong or you will change to treat everyone the same and do not charge extra for just being...
Read moreVisited in April 2024. You cannot decide which restaurant or bar to go in this very congested Omoide Yokocho area; just give it a try and go in wherever you find some places you can squeeze in. It was my second time come to this area and I just did what I mentioned. We just sat at the table outside as it seemed too packed inside, so it was a bit more spacious. As their specialty is chicken menu, we had assorted 10-pc yakitori and fried wings dipped in a soy sauce based sweet sauce similar to teriyaki sauce. Had some beer and sake. It was a nice experience as most guests and passerby we saw were...
