Update: got a seat about 10 minutes after I arrived late. I thought a 1/2 hour was about right for 30 spots, but I was wrong. It took ~20 mins I estimate given that the number was about 10 spots past my number. So, I grabbed another number: 594. However, I glanced and saw my original number was still on the called list and I tried to go and see what they could do. The girl threw me back on a waiting list and said that it would be about 10 mins. It was much sooner - like 3 mins. I tried to scan my number as she told me I needed to do, but you can’t just lightly scan it and need to slap it over the top of the right machine fully. I should have watched others do it first. Anyway, a few other groups get called immediately after and I’m unable to scan my number. So, I ask and she says do it again. It doesn’t work. It fails a few more times and when I ask again, she says I was too slow. She doesn’t realize I scanned it incorrectly. Anyway, we finally get it if figured out after she’s exasperated. So, the good is the same, if not worse. They have only one tempura choice - pumpkin I think. I’m in the mood, but they fail to have tempura. I’m going to check Kura tomorrow to see how their selection is. However, they do have a good Kalbee with salt that’s tasty. I’m in the mood for beef again. I get 2 orders of the chuck flap beef which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, but I eat it since I’m buying it and it isn’t atrocious. The “young” yellowtail is tasty and is the best next to the kalbee beef in this sitting. I get the albacore tuna since it’s discounted, but I learn it’s discounted for a reason - it’s literally mushy like the pickled ginger. You also have to order the pickled ginger. It’s not in front of you like Kura. And it tastes like it’s been drowning in vinegar for too long and is mushy as I said earlier. —— Definitely don’t go at 6:30p on a Friday night. I just wanted to try another conveyer belt sushi restaurant and I believe these are the “big dawgs” and are #1 in Japan. Tonight, they showed proof people are still clamoring over getting a seat. I won’t give the food a 5 star rating yet, but it appears it might be up there given how many were in the waiting room. I took a picture of the folks waiting on flr 1 to get up to the place on flr 6, but multiply that by 2 and you’ll get a feel of how many were waiting in a more crammed space. Also, note that if you try the escalators to get up that you’ll have to take the stairs up to floor 7 and then take the elevator down to 6 if you choose to avoid the elevator rush on the 1st floor. PS I’m glad I grabbed a bowl of chicken katsu 20 mins prior just in case. It’s going to be a loooooong wait!

Overall, great place for kaitenzushi with impressive selection and good quality ingredients. The different combinations of salmon and tuna are all pretty decent, especially those advertised to be chefs recommendation (items with yellow and red border with a rating out of 5). The otoro was priced at ¥150 was very decent, and was surprisingly low cost so I do recommend that. All the salmon nigiri was good, the salmon with basil tastes like pizza! The tempura however had a bit too much batter and was very greasy so I would not recommend that. Drinks were so-so, not strong but pretty much what you'd expect at this price point. Overall, spent ¥10,700 for around 50 plates + drinks + karaage and tempura so was very reasonable and definitely better than kura. The location is accessible through the Uniqlo on the first floor, but you need to take the elevator as the escalator only goes up to the third floor. This location can get very busy as it's close to Shinjuku station. Was too busy eating so didn't take many pictures but from the amount of plates I've consumed that can speak for itself.

As far as conveyor belt sushi goes, this is one of the best ones we've seen in Japan. Located near the entrance to Uniqlo and accessible via an elevator to the 6th floor. We waited about half an hour at 8pm for 2 people to be seated in one of the booths (it may be slightly quicker if you're also open to being seated at the counter as well). Use the ticket machine available near the exit of the elevator to reserve your place in the queue for a seat. The screen that you order off is absolutely massive and the sushi is made to order. It's not the best quality sushi you'll have in Japan but the price point is great. We particularly liked the tempura crab nigiri and the range of tuna offerings. We ordered so many plates for about $22 per person. Great spot to experience sushi as a foreigner as you can change the screen into a range of languages. Keep the docket you receive when you're seated as this is used for the self serve checkout at the end.

This may not be the best sushi I have ever had - but it was certainly the easiest (for foreigners) and an incredible value. Dishes are broken down into three different prices: yellow plates are ¥150, red plates are ¥210, and black plates are ¥290.

I got a tuna roll, crab salad roll, miso soup, amberjack and mayo roll (a special limited offering), and a tuna and onion roll. For everything, it was
