Yayoiken Nishi-Shinjuku — Restaurant in Tokyo

My first meal in Japan after arriving from Chicago! I ordered the Stir-Fried Pork and Vegetables Teishoku (Japanese set meal), which came with rice, tofu, and miso soup.

You order from a machine by the front door and then get the food delivered to your table after you are seated.

Unfortunately hot tea was not included, but we got plenty of ice water.

My main dish was a lot of vegetables and some thin slices of pork. At first, I wasn't too amazed by this dish, but after spending a week in Japan and realizing how difficult vegetables were to come by, now I'm quite grateful to have gotten this veggie-heavy dish.
