We had been visiting this café for several days in a row. Yesterday, May 31st, we came here and ordered an Americano coffee and a Coconut coffee. The coconut coffee was delivered COMPLETELY different from the picture; there was no milk or white cream in the coffee as shown in the menu photo. The coffee I received looked like just a black coffee filled with ice. When I questioned the visibly obvious difference, without any sympathy or concern, they told me that the coffee didn’t have the white part as shown in the photo, that it was different, but it was indeed a coconut coffee. Another attendant came out of the kitchen and said the same thing, and then they went silent. I suggested that they change the photo of the coffee displayed at the counter since it was so different. It was regrettable that they did not care at all about correcting or trying to improve the coffee’s appearance. The Coconut coffee was bad, so we couldn’t drink it. Today, we went to the café as usual and were received without any friendliness (perhaps because I had questioned the coffee the day before). There was no music playing, and they didn’t bring us water as they used to on previous days. It was just my boyfriend and me in the café, and the same attendants were there as always; there were no other customers. Still, the staff didn’t make any move to provide the usual service. Only when new customers arrived did the attendants start playing music and bring them water, continuing to ignore our presence. It was unfortunate! Besides doing absolutely nothing to try to resolve the coffee issue (which I believe was something very simple to resolve), they treated us differently. I understood that there is no standard of service in this place, and they treat customers differently. I frequent various cafés around the world, in different countries and continents, and this has never happened to me before. It was a terrible experience regarding both the service and the product. This is why I am leaving a negative review. My biggest regret is not specifically about the coffee or the little money we lost over it (because despite that, we came back today). My biggest regret is the visible negative way we were treated. I thought a lot about not writing a negative review about this situation, but I reflected and decided to do so because I believe this is an opportunity for...

Found walking past on the way to another coffee joint for breakfast. Returned when I found the other place to be closed. From the front the space is rather unassuming and simple, but the menu looked solid so I wandered in to give it a go.

Prices were very reasonable so I ordered breakfast and a coffee. Asked if I could sit outside, and the lass on the counter suggested heading to the space at the back...

Honestly did not expect what I found! Lovely, clean and bright atrium space in the courtyard, and an Instagrammer's delight of an outdoor pond. Whoever helped style this joint could easily get work in the Melbourne coffee scene.

The food was simple; could have done with a little spice, but overall filling and nutritious. The coffee was a true delight. Would be keen to try for lunch as the menu looks a little more extensive further in to the day. Be mindful the cafe says no to plastic, and will charge a fee for takeaway cups (but honestly, the space at the back is worth stopping in for anyway!)

Comma Coffee has a few venues around Laos, and is a Roastery as well as a cafe so beans can also be purchased here if desired. Worth stopping in if you happen to be...

Comma Coffee was my go-to place in Luang Prabang. When you enter, you see a regular looking (cozy) cafe, however, ask the waiter to show you the cafe extension. Bright, clean and minimalistic, the cafe extension is a great place to work from. The wifi works well. It may sometimes get loud when groups of people arrive during lunch time but it’s otherwise quiet.

The staff are very kind. They had a starfruit tree at the back of the cafe from where they helped me pick ripe fruit and made me a drink. It was super tasty and should definitely be added to the menu.

The mango sticky rice was my favorite along with the orange coffee. The salads are fantastic as well. The pancake with mango hit the right spots. The brownies and cookies felt dry both times I ate it so wouldn’t recommend it.

Though I enjoyed going here, I’m giving this place 4 stars as I found ants in my drinks twice. The staff apologised and promptly gave me a new drink. However, this is something that shouldn’t be happening in...
