We booked the front balcony view known as the "cool" room. This room has a perfect view of the night market traffic and food market on the alley side. With this room you can see the video board. We stayed November 22 - 26. The weather was perfect. No rain and was about 80 degrees. The 25th & 26th was the start of the full moon celebration so the streets at night were packed.

Please keep in mind you'll hear some light traffic/music noise from your room. Our room is on the 2nd floor. If you need a very quiet place, this is not for you. The room is nicely blacked out so we can sleep in.

English speaking friendly staff. Room is clean. The steps to the tub could be bit of a challenge to get in. The steps looks slippery but it wasn't when it got wet.

The hot water didn't last long. The exchange station was nearby by located by the post office, which was very convenient.

To the left and towards to temple is a morning market. Not sure if it's every morning. We happen to find it on a Sunday morning looking to eat Pho before flying out.

There's a laundry service next door for those backpacking.

Cafe is downstairs and there's a rooftop bar. We ordered coffee/breakfast (shown in this picture) as a dine in and took it to our room. You can take as take out but of course will be in paper cups and maybe less fruits.

We were not aware that airport shuttle pickup/drop off were additional charge and had to pay directly to the driver. I gave the driver a tip for the pickup 😂. The next day I was told we didn't pay the driver. No worries, so we paid the hotel to give . It was only 150,000 BHT.

When booking is confirmed, the hotel will send a link to their portal to communicate for check in process and request for pickup and other changes to the room.

Note there are...

Indigo House Hotel is conveniently located within the old quarter. Moreover, it marks the start of the night market street, giving you easy access to the market. The tourism information centre is also right next door, as is the night market food street. There is a rooftop bar here which provides a great view of the street. Thus, don't fret if you can't get the room with a balcony.

I got a superior twin room and was very satisfied with the decor. There are two rattan chairs here. Two bottles of water are provided. I was provided with a mango and rambutans. The toilet and bath area are separated. There is no closet, but instead there is a movable stand to hang your clothes. The bed provided sufficient support.

When you arrive, you get a welcome drink in the form of lime juice with butterfly pea flower.

I was very impressed with the breakfast, which is served between 7 and 10am. There is a sufficient spread of Laotian dishes, including fried rice and fried noodles, as well as Laotian sweets. There are cut fruits and a salad section. The salad section has shredded cabbage and carrots, peppers and two greens. Impressively, there are pitted olives and cheddar cubes. You also order Khao soy and eggs (fried, poached, scrambled or omelette). I also loved how they had...

Luang Prabang Indigo Hotel October 30, 31, November 01 2022. Easy-to-find location, fast check-in.

A windowless room on the second floor (room Peace #103) , you have to go 5 steps down to the room makes you feel living in a basement apartment, after few days you come to appreciate this unique style.

The toilet seat is so low. Comfortable bed. A big and tasty Breakfast is served at the coffee shop. No buffet breakfast. On the second morning the pineapple was white unripe inedible, good egg Benedict. Same menu selections every day.

In the room there are no slippers, contrary to the online description. Room #103 ( Peace ) being at the back of the hotel shields you from the nightly Night market crowd , but you cannot escape the guitar player-singer giving his mid-evening performance.

A 20-ninute walk will take you to several important sites/temples.

Wifi spotty most of the times, today December 01 wifi unusable in the afternoon. Difficult to use a 2-pin phone charger because wall AC outlet are too loose.

Good place but need improvement to make the quality to price ratio attractive. A bit too expensive for the offer.

Check-out at 11 AM...

We loved Indigo house, the location is fantastic right on the night market Street, with a lovely little foodie Alley next door to the hotel. It was central for everything we needed. The staff are excellent and a really really helpful. There was a number of choices for breakfast and we enjoyed it every morning. There was plenty of food on offer. There is a bakery attached the hotel which sells pastries which were delicious. Our bed was very comfortable and there was shutter block out the light. It was an open plan room with the sink as part of the room and a room for the shower and toilet off of the room. The shower was concrete with some tiles on it which was the only thing we felt let down our room. We had to go up one flight of stairs to reach our room which never bothered us,going up two more flights of stairs came to a lovely restaurant which was outdoors overlooking the market. We didn’t eat there but we did have a drink in the evening.
