9.5/10 Short review: This is an expensive restaurant, but the overall experience is quite good. The individual dishes are small, but all exquisite, and the desserts are very good. Recommended for cash-strapped diners only. ———— Full review: The food selection is not as large and fancy as other restaurants, but it's still adequate. The fish and chicken dishes that cost 110,000 kip were very good. Especially the chicken, I only regretted that I didn't have enough moneyRto order more. For the dishes that cost around 300,000kip, there is nothing to criticize about the taste. If I must say, the pork chop was not as juicy (or fatty) as I would have liked, which made it a bit dry when eaten without the sauce. However, some of the dishes have a lot of acidic parts (like the duck sauce or the salad), so if you can't handle acidity, think carefully before ordering. Finally, dessert! The seasonal desserts are so good and the price is very reasonable compared to other dishes. Honestly, I will order four desserts next time if they don't...
Read moreWould like to give more but just can't justify. Best dish of the night was the pork with mash potato; the duck tasted very good, but was dry; and my friend couldn't finish his chicken (in fact, he barely touched it, really didn't like it). The meat and cheese platters were both very expensive for what you got. The meat platter was average, and the cheese platter came with 5 lackluster slices of cheese which were a mix of quality. The house red has been open too long and has oxidized, only good for cooking, shouldn't be served. Bread was good and seemed to be of an infinite supply. Service was mixed; they were very attentive and refilled our water and bread quickly as required, but the food took over an hour to arrive. Perhaps I am being too picky as I have just recently travelled France, but this place sadly just didn't...
Read moreWhat a terrific evening- and gastronomic experience- we had at the genial hands of mine host and chef, Jean-Yves. The rough textured terrine knocked our socks off- pruneaux and vinaigre de Xérès gave it a sweet/ sour bite that hit the spot. My pork chop- tasted like it's owner had been fed on acorns and apples for most of its life- creamy mashed potato and mustard seed and cider gravy had me faint with pleasure. It was only the Côtes de Ventoux that brought me round . My wife savoured grilled salmon with purée de petits pois and ratatouille until her eyes glazed over. I honestly can't remember the delicious dessert, so mindfully were we dining. You Na has not been open for long. Go there quickly before everyone...
