An overrated restaurant. The food was average. I had scallops that were not fresh, absolutely tiny and slightly overcooked. They were supposed to be grilled, but clearly that was not the cooking technique. We also had a grilled octopus, which was ok but again - no signs of actual grill, which was a real shame. Food wise tom yum soup was the only really tasty dish, except from rice on the side which again was overcooked. Atmosphere was not enjoyable, only russians eating there. The worst part of experience, however, was service. I didn't understand why waiters were removing all empty plates as soon as we took the last bite. Even if I were still eating soup or a starter and my partner had finished a little earlier, the waiter removed his plate as I was still eating. It was really disturbing, as if they wanted us to finish eating as soon as possible so we would vacate the table. Very unpleasant. I think it's often a tyoe of service in restaurants, but felt extremely strange and disturbing. Waiters shoudl wait for the entire table to finish a dish before taking away plates and bringing out next dish. Also the whole service seemed rushed, no break between the dishes. Overall,...
Read moreI did not have a pleasant experience here unfortunately. When making a booking online I specified that I have gluten and dairy allergy. They called me back to confirm our reservation and to say that they do have food to accommodate my needs. So we go there, the menu has aIlergen listings and we order dishes without dairy products. I remind the waiter again that I have dairy allergies. He takes our order and the food comes, but us soon as I bite everything- fish, potatoes and vegetables, all of it has butter. I double check with the waiter if that is not cooked in butter. He says no. I ask to double check with the kitchen AND IT WAS. So we tell the waiter, he doesn’t offer an apology or discount, simply says that we will have to wait 30-40 minutes for a replacement dish. At this point we decided we would pay our drinks and leave. The waiter returned with a check which included the cost of the dish which was cooked in butter and which I was allergic to. We had to argue to get this taken off our bill. The menu is wrong about allergens and the waiting staff did not pass on my allergies to the kitchen despite repeated reminders....
Read moreI really liked the interior — quite minimalistic, without unnecessary details, yet very cozy and comfortable. The only drawback was that after we seated ourselves, it took quite a while before someone came over to take our order.
That said, the menu was impressive, and honestly, the food was excellent. For starters, we ordered scallop carpaccio and tempura prawns. The prawns were divine — large, meaty, with a wonderful sauce that paired perfectly. The scallop carpaccio also impressed me: the scallops were fresh, and the sauce didn’t overpower their delicate flavor, which is important for me since I love to truly taste the product itself.
Initially, we wanted to order a crab claw, but since they were out of stock, we went for the crab shoulder instead. It was already cleaned, very convenient to eat, and delicious. The waiter did a great job explaining the options and guiding us through the menu — he also recommended drinks, and his suggestion turned out to be spot on.
Overall, this is a very good place, especially for seafood lovers. We’ll definitely come back next time to try the...
