O'Sole Mio — Restaurant in Riga

Although tasty, the pizza was burnt on the bottom in a big way. I can kind of understand that this could maybe happens sometimes. What I really didn't like at all though, was the restaurant's handling of the incident. First, the waitress came and asked us if everything was ok with the food. I brought up the pizza thing and showed it to her. She never apologized. She tried to justify the fact and replied that they could bring me another pizza. Of course, this is not a convenient option when your companion is almost done with their own food, and then wait until the next pizza to be cooked, and finally eat it yourself. So I didn't accept the second pizza. After that, the waitrees's behavior seemed like I had done something bad that I shouldn't! Honestly, I feel that this restaurant looks so uninteresting due to the low competition in Italian at Riga. In my opinion, they should maintain a more attentive attitude towards...

There aren’t many assumptions you can make from the name O'Sole MiO, except that the place is going to serve Italian food. And as expected, the restaurant had a distinctly Italian vibe, with excellent pizzas and wine to match. To my surprise, I also ended up tasting the best beer of my life. It was completely unexpected but a very pleasant twist. Our group of four decided to order two Boscaiola pizzas and two Calzone Maza Luna (I might be slightly off on the names). The Lunas were really good, though a bit too oily for my liking, and the Boscaiolas oddly differed from each other, with one being noticeably saltier. The place is clearly popular and usually busy, but on the national holiday we visited, it was even busier, with many takeaway orders coming in. This was already the third time I’ve traveled to Latvia to visit Osole Mio. This time I went to the restaurant in Riga, which is in no way inferior to the one in Jūrmala. I praise the staff, who truly make this place so lovely and keep me coming back. The food and the vibe were really very Italian. Thank you for doing everything with such heart. 💖
