Gaya Street Sunday Market in Kota Kinabalu is a vibrant and bustling market that offers a unique cultural experience. Every Sunday morning, the street transforms into a lively bazaar filled with a wide array of goods, from local handicrafts and souvenirs to fresh produce, street food, and even pets. Visitors can find a treasure trove of unique items, including traditional handicrafts like baskets, wood carvings, and textiles. The market is also a great place to sample local delicacies, such as Sabah Laksa and Bak Kut Teh, and to experience the local culture firsthand. The market typically starts early in the morning and runs until the afternoon. It's a popular destination for both locals and tourists, so expect crowds, especially during peak hours.

One of the liveliest streets in KK, filled with local eateries, cafés, and shops. It’s a great place to explore on foot, enjoy authentic local food, and soak in the city’s atmosphere. You can come here in the morning, noon, or night — each visit feels different. After a good hot walk, head over to Suria Sabah for some aircon and chill at the mall.

This is not food, it's carbs with batter and oil, or fake flavours with tons of sugar! Walked the length of it on both sides and apart from the fresh fruit and the grilled fish, I wouldn't put this garbage in my mouth. I'm shocked at how gross and unhealthy most of the food was. Come with low expectations, this is not the level of street food you get in places like...
