Saigon Republic Vietnamese Cuisine — Restaurant in Borneo

I was craving for a Vietnamese beef noodle and this place was my 1st visit and most rated on the search, so I went there to give it a try. Perhaps due to short of staff, servive was really slow. They even missed my drinks which was quite a dissapointment (food already finish but drinks were no where to be seen)

The food was not as to my expectation, which is really sad. But I must say, the coffee was really nice (as how it should taste, Vietnamese Coffee) the only thing that was worth my visit was the spring rolls. That was the bom! Other food, so, so. Price wise, well I can say its reasonable (maybe)

It has a nice enviroment, thumbs up to that. This place can be improved, if possible employed more staff as I see that this place is quite packed and service need to be improved. Might try going there for a 2nd time to see if the food, service quality...

I tried their pork pho and it was amazing, the broth was super rich and flavorful, with plenty of tender beef and fresh herbs. Really hit the spot!

I also gave the Bun Dau Mam Tom a try. It’s definitely different but so good if you like bold flavors. The shrimp paste dip is strong, but it goes perfectly with the crispy tofu and fresh noodles. Definitely an interesting dish to try!

And you can’t miss the Vietnamese egg coffee here. It’s creamy, sweet, and has that nice frothy top, such a cool way to finish the meal.

The vibe of the place is chill but with a dim light and the staff were friendly and quick. The price here is reasonable for vietnamese dishes so If you’re in Miri and want some legit Vietnamese food with non-halal options, definitely check...
