Seng Kee Miri Food Centre — Restaurant in Sarawak

I've only visited this place once. The food was fine, price was reasonable too. I liked the open air concept.The staff were nice and helpful. However, I couldn't bring myself to give this place more than 3 stars due to the poor hygiene of its surrounding. The whole time I was sitting there, I could smell this really foul odor. I've no idea what it was, probably the odor of urine on the floor, or dirty water that has dried but never been cleaned? It really spoiled my appetite. Otherwise, this place could've been my go-to place...

Nice food. Fast food style during lunch time have many choices. Quite crowded during night time. There is newly opened aircond place at first floor which can setup 8 to 10 tables. Good for small group and privacy. If you ordered RM 1000 and above, the whole floor is yours regardless of number of tables. For example, if you ordered one table at RM 1000, the whole floor is belong to you. They will not accept new order for the aircond place even though there are plenty of tables left. Not impressed by the food, maybe they forgot to add flavor? We had Seafood Char Kway Teow, which did have nice wok hey, but that's about all that we liked. There was no salt, no spice, no umami. The prawns tasted of chlorine and we're rubbery. The second dish we tried was sweet and sour fish, but the taste was also on the low side, too sweet and not much tanginess. But the fish was at least crispy and didn't have any chlorine taste. Finally service: plenty of staff but not much attention...
