Spoke to an old waiter, he seems to be the only Hakka speaking staff. Also the only Chinese service staff. I was told boss changed, all staff and chefs changed, he is the only old staff left.
As it is my first time here, unable to compare the food. But being a Hakka, I can tell the dishes maybe only one or two are Hakka dish. The restaurant is named the Cantonese restaurant, but I also don't see much cantonese dishes.
Get back to the taste, I order fried chicken as ahsam pineapple fish not available. Also order seafood tofu.
Fried chicken, skin very good, it tastes great when add a little pepper, salt mix that they serve. I love the wings, very crispy and tasty. Ordered a small serving, think about 1/3 chicken. Quantity is quite ok. Out of 5 I will give a 4.
As for the tofu, firstly they serve the wrong type. The boss said they will change. Later told me the one I order out of stock, and recommended a new fried tofu dish. Took sometime for them to serve the tofu as they needed to cook a new dish. Oh, tofu was good. Very soft and the sauce is not salty. It will be even better if they add some fried garlic chopped.
It is good to have the tofu after I ate the chicken.
It is obvious that service staff not trained, always need to check with the boss as they always serve wrong dish to wrong table. (4th image is wrong dish) Boss is friendly and goes to tables to check on the food.
