Furqan Tom Yam — Restaurant in George Town

Recommend this place to all moslem travelers. Foods are all tasty 👌🏼 I had dinner twice here during my stay in Penang.

I ordered: Tom yam seafood Tom yam campur with bumbu merah (?) Kangkung balacan Nasgor idk i forgot it was served like japanese omu rice Udang merah

The shrimps and squids are SO FRESH! 🦑🦐🫰 Maybe they are all stress-free cos u know Penang is so chill! 😃 😃 they are so juicy and has a sweet hint🥹 OMG so delicious

All foods serve really suits my javanese tastebud hahahaha! I think the portion of each meal is sufficient for 1 person. The fried rice portion is quite big tho.

The price is fair. Staffs are friendly and helpful but they are not fluent in english. Oh, they also open until late, I went here at 10.30 PM.

Definitely going back to this place if I go to Penang again...

This restaurant serves one of the best tomyam in Penang town and the price is surprisingly cheap. The taste is delicious, best enjoyed during rainy days. It is just a small place with quite limited seats; that's probably why a lot of people order takeout. Parking is available at the roadside opposite it.

The only downside is the waiting time is really terrible. You can see a lot of reviews about the same issue too. For my case, it was a Saturday evening around 7pm and I waited for 1 hour after ordering to be served. It would be at least a 4-star review if it's not because of the...

Such a worst experience. We going one group and the workers over there don't want to layan us. We sit there almost so long and keep calling them for menu. After so long one lady approach but she buang the menu towards one of my colleagues. And when clean the table she move the furnitures aggressively. We don't want to eat there, so our gang just move from there without order anything. One of my colleagues regular customer there. He said the foods are nice over there. But with service like that sorry I'll definitely not...
