I was recently given the opportunity to organize and host a dinner function which needed to meet a few strict requirements; western cuisine, halal, vegetarian friendly, and has a private room that fits at least 30 persons. I was about to throw up my hands in despair when I found this gem located inside Penaga Hotel. There's no signage outside the hotel making this restaurant even harder to spot if one isn't specifically looking for it.
A call later, I was introduced to Zach who helped me coordinate all the arrangements leading to the event, and was also extremely accommodating during the event. The starters were scrumptious; the wild mushroom soup was thick and earthy, and the fritto misto (fried seafood platter) was perfectly fried with a savory, crunchy breading giving way into succulent and juicy seafood morsels. The entrees also received praises from the attendees; the Salmone Toscana was flakey and served atop buttery mashed potatoes while the Wagyu Salisbury steak still retained a nice pink and juicy center. The Panna Cotta was served in a pretty jar, and was a nice balance of creamy, sweet and tart.
This is a restaurant that shatters preconceptions that a halal Italian Restaurant won't be as good as one that prepares their dishes with wine. I heartily recommend it.
A special note of thanks to Zach who was a pleasure to interact with and work with to make the evening a...

Please alert, the note written on the door entrance of no alcohol served in this premise. Neither request for it, regardless she gave stern reminder on the rule.
Decided to visit this place due to reviews and all the raves. The name of this restaurant does sound Italian but that is not the case with the menu.
The waiter apparently has no knowledge of the menu apart of unwelcome demeanour. Placed an order for bottle of water and were served filthy glasses (dusty and fingerprints) Started with seafood soup which is only tasted lemon.
As for the main, pasta alla vongole (first time tried a plate of pasta watery with soup). It wasn’t good at all. Chicken parmigiana, eatable. Nevertheless did the best to finish the foods.
The quirk part, on each table is a stand stated of discount and free dessert for a review.
Ended up walked to the cashier to pay because all the staffs are busy with their things. Asked if they take certain card multiple times, the staffs said yes. Which was not the case. He didn’t understand the question/didn’t know which card is acceptable at his CC machine.
Definitely need a lot of...

The mashed potatoes seem buttery and smooth, complementing the dish. Balance & Portion (7.5/10): The portion size looks generous. However, the salad portion seems slightly small in comparison. A bit more greens could enhance the balance. Overall Impression: A comforting and hearty dish that delivers on classic flavors with a well-executed presentation.
