Have you ever wondered what it feels like to have a gun pointed at your head? Interrogated and forced to spit out an answer when you have no idea what is going on? Then this is the right place for you.
For those who would like to come here, please be aware that the moment you are directed to your seat within the premises, you will be asked whether you want chicken or daging and they will tell you those are the only two choices you can make. This is not like your typical mamak with friendly service and a lot of customization available. For people who have never been there, this can be very confusing.
The worker was not friendly at all and shouted at us when we tried to retract our order after finding out that ordering a roti canai also meant that it came with a whole chicken leg by default, which we did not really want to eat.
In the end, some of our friends who came later did order it. The roti canai with the chicken cost RM8.50 (April 2022). The curry is decent but quite dilute and tastes a little like watery sambal.
They also have some average roti bakar with telur goyang for RM6.00. Overall, the food was okay but the bad service just made the entire experience unpalatable. The only bright side about the service would be its speed but we would like to be treated as customers and not criminals. Would not recommend coming here if you have a choice as there are nicer places to go to...

🥘Not uncommonly described as over-rated, Transfer Road Roti Canai stands its ground till today with a steady stream of loyal customers. This is, to some, the best ever Roti Canai. Whether true or not, it undeniably stands as a legend; a name that is a giant amongst others.
🧓Running for over 45 years (that's nearly double my life-time!), they are truly masters of their craft. The owner of this store didn't really bother answering my humble enquiries. 'Just look on the internet and you can see', that's all he said to me, and continued tossing the roti canai. There's a confidence he exudes about his craft; they're content. The word 'content' perhaps accurately describes the vibes I get here.
🍗For Rm2 per Roti Canai, and Rm6 for a whole chicken, cuisine here is undeniably on the pricier side. It was good, and the curries were rich. Perhaps, for many, this is a favourite because it is an acquired taste. For me, I've acquired a taste for other stores, those being favourite. Afterall, a favourite is always a personal decision.
🥚The 4 eggs with toasted bread costs Rm8 in total.
I'd come here for the experience, simply because it is talk of the town when it comes to Roti Canai. Otherwise, for a breakfast of my preference, I'd choose somewhere I frequent in...
Read moreHorrible horrible horrible.
Would give 0/5 if it was a feature.
Roti was just an extremely oily piece of dough. Like imagine a super dense roti naan, but super duper oily.
Chicken curry and daging is also horrible. Curry chicken tastes like chicken boiled in water with a teaspoon of curry powder. Daging was super tough, and just sweet.
The servers were all super aggressive and swarming you asking you to order different things. Targetting you and causing a ruckus to confuse you. Got scammed into paying for a nasi lemak ayam as a result of being kind to the makcik who was trying really hard to promote her nasi lemak. I only ordered a nasi lemak biasa.
Chicken came uncooked, dahlah I didnt order. And their only response when this was highlighted is ask to pay, and ask if we wanted it refried.
Definitely NEVER going back. Such a shame because this shop was one of the top spots for us locals. Really disappointed.
Dont even get me started abour cleanliness. I think that's something everyone alreadt knows but nothing seems to be done. Heard from a grab driver they were forced to close for two weeks by MBPP for rats and rat poo. But 2 days later there they are running like nothing happened. Money makes the...
