Grand FC Hotel — Hotel in George Town

I've read bad reviews about this hotel but I'm glad I took a chance. Very convenient as it's walking distance from Armenian street (including chew jetty), Chow Rasta Morning Market, Kimberly Street market, Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay (delicious kuihs), Restaurants and bars (halab, gravy baby, Rockefellers,etc). The indian gentleman at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Easy check in & check out using self-check kiosk. Parking lot can fit 14 cars and a couple of cars can double park but they can't reserved a spot for you even when I told them I'm coming with senior citizen and disabled. Carpark is full especially at night but you can try to find parking outside the hotel. Room was sufficient and Clean. Air-conditioning and water heater works well. They don't provide toothpaste & toothbrush, fridge, safe box but got towels, 3in1soap (body, face, hair), coffee, kettle, iron and water dispenser. Hotel is nice, however I highly recommend to change or move carpets in the corridor - they looks terrible and at first glance spoil the impression about the place.Rooms were clean, bathroom is new, hot water is very good. That is a pity you couldn’t open the windows, we have a view on the nearest building roofs, looks not bad.We had a problem with AC, cause it works from extremely cold mode, to slow fan and the worst it was located in front of the bad, so if you switch it on for whole night - you will be ill in the morning, and the room is in the sunny side, so it is quite hot during the day and night. I don’t know how to be with that, we choose to move one of the 2 twin beds to each other, it helped not so much :( now i have a problem with my throat. The hotel use new technology of check in, but a little bit strange to check out from the same room if you want to extend your stay.Price in the hotel too high, better to find good...

Unfortunately, i left my spectacle at room no 112. I ask your staff to post through courier because i cant come again to hotel to pick due to I am staying at sungai buloh selangor. It is more than 400km!!! too far!!The management agreed to post which is i need to bear with cost rm30. But for me rm30 is too expensive!! Your staff name "Rahsal Bahruddin" is very polite and explain nicely clearly to me rm30 is because it took 15 minutes from hotel to main office. I feel acceptable with his explanation. Please give him reward by giving more bonus/higher salary increment!! He is good in working.
