Mantra Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in George Town

Last weekend we went for dinner at this place and confirmed our table over call. They were having a small party at that time but agreed to book our table as well. We ordered Dal makhani and Paneer tikka masala ( this one on waiter's recommendation as he assured it to be spicy not sweet) along with few assorted breads. But to our dismay the waiter brought Mantra village dhal which happen to be usual yellow dal. On presenting our whole order at one go he told us that this dal was prepared instead of the one that is ordered would you like to replace it with Dal makhani or its fine. We were already running out of time with two small and hungry kids with us and didn't had the time wait another 15 min to get dhal and spoil our dinner. The party buffet could be seen clearly with name plates. I immediately asked the waiter isn't it the same dhal u got from the buffet?.. he was a bit ashamed and agreed.. even the paneer tikka masala was pathetic with some basic red gravy and 4 very dry paneer piece. No chutney, papadum were served with dinner unlike earlier. Breads were ok. Our dinner was not prepared exclusively but somehow arranged from the buffet.. Shame!!.. We were staying in Bayview hotel and we were hungry so tried this Indian restaurant. My expectations were very low as never heard about this place before. Before I place my order, I have already ask the staff if I can request for chicken thigh since I don't like chicken breast and they say can be done. But they still served me chicken breast!.
