Starbucks Coffee Green Hall — Restaurant in George Town

Very bad service. Came here for bfast and coffee. 2. Server was a chinese girl who wants to speak with a slang but failed miserably to the extend that she mangled her words. 3. In the process she was unable to deliver what was offered. My wife ordered the bfast set. For the bfast she got a plain square donut with sugar. We could not understand what was available. She was NOT friendly at all. Not the slightest trace of customer service! Throughout the entire process she did not even smile neither did she greeted us at all. If she really want to speak with a slang or accent she must learn to speak distinctly and effectively like annunciating her words instead of eating her words! And I am the one with a Bachelor's degree and my wife and I could not make out what she saying to us. If she is NOT happy with her work then she should quit and NOT take it out on the customers. Her entire delivery process is tarnishing starbucks` image, goodwill and reputation. Take it from me as a Corporate Trainer who have just returned to Malaysia. This is a negative against this store. Loved the fact that this was located in one of the heritage buildings in Georgetown. Lovely to see the Starbucks just claiming the space without disrupting the age old building. Cosy space to work from.

However, the service was poor, the place was not as how Starbucks's are usually. There were tables yet to be cleaned. In fact, a customer waited at a table to be cleaned, no one had notice until he went back to the main counter to request that the table is cleaned.

The staff seemed to have training of some sort, so much so they were all occupied with the training while it was supposedly business as usual.

I probably need to come back here at least two more times to see if that is generally the case...

Heritage building ambience, well curated tiles and windows. Relaxing interior. There is a toilet at the end of the lot. Cozy seats throughout with power points at select areas. Many Starbucks merchandise for sale apart from pastries, cakes and drinks. I prefer cold brew, Matcha Cold Foam Iced Americano, varieties of black coffee and some milk based blended drinks. There is the choice to reduce syrups, sweet sauce or eliminate them altogether. Starbucks has added Flat White to its menu, much to my delight.
