Your Local Club — Restaurant in George Town

Newly revamped in the heart of Georgetown. Its always jam packed. Their coffee is good but the tart isnt. Lemon Pineapple Tart. Flavor combination aint good. Too sour! But we could all agree that it looks very lovely. Thats why i picked it up.

But for sure if i go with cheesecake it would have been a better choice. Sometimes first choice and impression is good and looks can be deceiving. Lol

It looks big inside but actually its just a mirror reflection. Nice design with all these laboratory stuff. Cafe is easy to find its just in the corner of the lane.

Its still new and they dont have wifi. Lady said its still not working. I came to do my work for some reason. This cafe is not a good place to bring your laptop and work. and bring your own pocket wifi or connect to your hotspot but i wont recommend because there’s lots of distractions.

Also they dont have variety of food selections. The place looks like a brunch spot but only coffee, cookies, tarts and cakes. Maybe in the future they gonna bring in some menu.

I think coffee don’t disappoint but make sure to choose the dessert right…

And oh they have ice cream and it...

Atmosphere itself is superb. It has a great atmosphere, modern and chill vibes. Definitely a place to visit. Except when wanting to use the bathroom as a customer, and customer service is horrendous. A group of us came in for a coffee at about 5.20pm, and the barista lady approached us to let us know the cafe is closing. As if to chase us out, they proceed to give my partner a cold shoulder when we wanted to place our orders. It says 6pm closing. We ordered at 5.28pm with no intention to stay. What we receive was just bad customer delivery.

Next, we wanted to use the bathroom. As attached, you can see the damn sign. The door to use the toilet itself was locked with that sign.

As a first time customer, what would you think the sign means? We again approached the lady about it. She gave the kind of answer that even I felt offended. "oh, just means someone is inside".

Oh yes. With that sign, I definitely thought someone was inside. Fix the attitude. I suggest whoever comes here either come an hour...

The service from the staff (taller gal with shoulder length hair) sucks! A PRC couple placed order with this staff n she asked if they wanted ‘iced’ or ‘hot’ in English. It was apparent this couple didn’t understand English. Instead of asking them the language they could understand in, she kept repeating herself n made the couple look embarrassed. I was behind the line n helped the couple out .At the same time, I also asked her for some tap water (as we had our orders served earlier) n she told me she would bring it to our table. After waiting for about 10min, the water was not served. I tot she might have forgotten, so I went to her and said ,”I asked for tap water earlier…” n before I could finished my sentence, she told me to “WAIT!” How can a service staff behave in this manner?! Totally shocked n appalling to see a service staff...
