Hi friends! I have a Chow Chow of my own, Bao Bao, in Canada đšđŠ. I am on holiday right now in Singapore and decided to cross the border to the bordering city of Johor in Malaysia for the day. I saw a TikTok about a Chow cafĂ© there and decided to check it out with two friends. We were blown away by just how homey, clean, and beautiful the three-story cafĂ© was. It is very clear just how taken care of and loved these chowâs are. There is even an in-house grooming station for these chowâs. All of these chowâs are related with the exception of one. 5 puppies were added to the family last year as an unexpected happy surprise. The worker was so warm and knowledgeable on all the Chowâs and their personalities. I thought it may be a gimmick, but truly at this cafĂ©, it was all about the Chowâs and then loving their best lives. The owner of this cafĂ© seems to also own the cafĂ© on the first floor and is the main business. For just $6 USD, you get ice cream, one hour with all the Chows, and pictures taken. I just love that I know these chows are loved all the way across the world from me. â€ïž The cafĂ© is also located in a lively and economical food area, definitely a bonus to your travels and the workers are very welcoming to provide you suggestions/speak on the Malay way of life! I HIGHLY recommend this cafĂ©, it was the highlight of my...
Read more10/10! Super fluffy sleepy chow chows, helpful staff. There were only 4/5 huskies around when I went though. They only accept walk ins and go by waiting lists so good to come earlier. Had to buy socks as I donât have any on. They go by waiting lists and group sizes so my 2 pax was quite fast. The food is good too!
The group sizes are controlled and they separate the chow chows who are more aggressive towards each other with a gate. I was with two big groups so it was kind of chaotic while also waiting for the photo sessions but I enjoyed myself.
Flow was kinda a mess as there are different groups, some people were either done or waiting for their turn. When I arrived I was told to wait about 2 hours so I ordered to eat but after that they said I could go in first with another group. So we ate after.
You get to pet and carry the dogs with staffâs help. Most of the time they are sleeping. The staff organises the groups and will take photos for you! They do it per group and you can break into smaller groups, they help with individual shots too and will get the chow chows to pose. So do expect this to take time while they coordinate and you get your shots. The other people will wait around the room and pet...

Chill & Chow is one of the newer dog cafes in JB, located next to the popular Shiba Cafe. Compared to its neighbour, Chill & Chow has a much smaller team of doggos (4 dogs). As it is exclusively Chow Chows, I think itâll be unlikely for the doggo team to expand anytime soon due to their temperament.
The space is comfortable, and itâs worth noting that the dining area is separate from the doggoâs play area. This creates an inclusive space that allows for guests to solely enjoy the dining experience without directly interacting with the dogs - perfect for friends who are afraid, disinterested or allergic.
It is always challenging to control how animals behave, however, the team here does a fairly good job at managing the experience and expectations. Whilst the dogs are generally disinterested in approaching the guests, the team makes good efforts in encouraging interaction. 100% a good spot on a quieter day due to the good doggo to human ratio.
Guests who purchase the entry ticket will receive a coconut ice cream. Guests who are not playing with the doggos can sit with a minimum purchase...
