Recommended by JB friend. D'Cafe is a nice looking cafe decorated with many plants. Have to mention that the food and drinks are done really well. I must say the salmon dish( Sally On The Beach ) 42rm, is a really delicious dish suitable for all. Grilled salmon done to perfection with the bright orange center and crispy skin. The well-seasoned baby spinach and shimeiji mushrooms were lovely. All seated on a bed of couscous. The fruit teas are good, sweetness just right. Probably many ladies will like it. The fish & chips is normal. Can skip this dish. Avocado salad is good. Good amount of both avocado and egg cubes mixed into the salad.
Kudos to the staff for the great service provided. Attentive and efficient.
Situated in the pelangi area, quite near the causeway about 10mins car ride. Can try if in JB. Worth it.
Edit: My 6th time here since April '22. Finally tasted a dish that I will not order again. It is not bad but not my kind of aglio olio. 2nd time having the crispy fried chicken, so yes! definitely can order this again and again.
Edit: 7th time here. Had Sweetie Sally, Wrap-it-Up and Carrot cake. All good. So far all salmon dishes make the cut. Wrap-it-up is easy to eat as it is a wrap. I would say a more upgraded version of chicken wrap in MCD.
Edit: 8th time here. Had The Classic. Croissant flaky over the top but the bottom slightly difficult to cut with their knife, easy tear with hands. Choice of tuna/chicken ham/egg mayo. Enjoyed mine with the egg mayo. Drank grape fig fruit tea and hazelnut latte. Also had the crispy fried chicken but did not take a photo of it since I have already uploaded a couple of it. 30jul23 Sun. Crowded but staff service still as efficient since first time here.
Edit: 9th time here 24aug23. Brought a friend to come try my favourite jb cafe for lunch Ordered fruit teas, fried cauliflower, fried chicken bites, sally on the beach and alle vongole. Friend loves the food. We managed to finish every thing even after a heavy breakfast.
Edit: 10th time here 5jan24. Came to try the new menu item. Tobiko biko pasta. Taste is nice but I did not like how the capsicum and vege added a tinge of sourness to the creamy pasta. The tobiko had me tasting many bursts of flavour in my mouth while chewing. Also had a chocolate peanut butter cake which is really lovely, i love it.
Edit: 11th time here 2Apr24. Finishing the other 2 new menu item, Turkey's OG and Asian Sally. Both are good. Turkey's OG has greek yogurt as it's base. The dish is 3 slices of hard bread, 2 eggs benedict and paprika on a bed of yogurt. Interesting and unique. Asian Sally is D'cafe's rendition of fried rice with chopped salmon. Good, savoury and I will definitely order this again. So far all salmon dishes are good without fail. Truffle fries are as what you will expect. Just ordered this for the gram.
Edit: Honestly , I have lost count the number of times I am here since the 11th time as I did not update my post.
Today visit as my wife and I had a maternity photoshoot next door at D'enfant. So we dropped by here for simple lunch.
Ooh La La, a spaghetti with tomato-based and topped with paprika, chicken sausages, cheese and some leafy vege. Taste was sweet and flavourful, just thought the spaghetti was overcooked as it was somewhat soft.
Fried chicken again, being my top favourite here in D'cafe. How can I miss this during a visit.
Sparking Rosy Lemonade and Apple Juice for drinks to complete the meal.
Edit: Visit a week after above due to picking out photos next door at D'Enfant.
Had lunch at D'cafe, going for the Queen's burger where there is a choice of fried chicken patty or mushroom as vegetarian. We went for fried chicken.
Ordered fried chicken once again as a side, a blueberry cheesecake and iced mocha.
Service is top-notch consistent every visit. Staff even asked my wife if they can assist to turn down the aircon for her and they observed her feeling cold. This type of service is truly appreciated. Thank you D'cafe once again for great food and amazing service

Read moreHorrible service, terrible food. Not worth the trip down - much, much better cafes nearby in the area.
When we arrived, the place was half full. It took them over 20minutes to serve us our coffees. We sat right beside the barista so we could see - they prepared the espresso shots early on, and left it there to sit for a long time before making our lattes and flat whites.
It took over 40 minutes before they even served us our food. Most of the other diners were also waiting with empty tables. Despite having over 6 servers/waiters/waitresses, the wait time and service was horrendous.
We came in a group of 4, and ordered 2 mains to share. Any proper server would have provided 4 sets of cutleries, but not for D'Cafe. They only provided two sets, and we had to ask multiple times for another two sets before they finally gave it to us.
We ordered the rosti. Despite online pictures and reviews, the rosti came smaller than the chicken ham on top of it. When you order a rosti dish, you would have expected the rosti to be the star of the show. But not for this place. The chicken ham was larger than the rosti, and there were more arugula than the rosti itself. Rosti was super thin and small - you could tell they didn't even use one full potato for it. Really scammy dish right there.
We ordered a carrot cake to share afterwards as the mains were really too little for us. Despite more than three reminders and them acknowledging our order, they completely forgot about it. We could clearly see the servers standing around, some simply waiting, some cleaning/wiping the utensils - nobody bothered to key in our new order or serve us our carrot cake. After waiting for another 15 minutes we got fed up and left.
To summarize - poor service despite many servers. Terrible food for its price, not reflective of online pictures. Coffee was bad - it should be served up right away instead of letting it sit there getting cold.

Read moreI am usually very picky and skeptical about cafe food, especially in JB. However, D’Cafe won me over!
The coffee and food were what I would say “worth paying for”. Portion was pretty small but taste was big.
Four of us ordered four different mains - The Three C’s, Rosti, Sweet Sally (or something like that) and the King’s Breakfast… the King’s Breakfast had the largest portion (loved the big, plump and juicy warmed tomatoes on vine). The rosti looked the lightest. Taste was all good. Scrambled eggs were still soft on the inside. Very nice! If you come here famished, your mains and coffee would probably be too light!
We also ordered sides - truffle fries, sweet potato fries and fried cauliflower. The fried cauliflower was our favourite! It was crispy on the outside with a very light coating of spicy Mayo sauce. It was not the thick, dripping type that most cafes in JB like to use. The taste of the vegetable was also retained.
Our second favourite was the sweet potato fries. So crispy on the outside but so sweet and soft on the inside.
Truffle fries was crispy but if you are like me who love truffle, it might be a little too light or taste like almost none. Still good fries. If only the fries were served on a bigger bowl and covered with more parmasen…
I liked the coffee too. I had Rose Latte. I could taste the rose and light bitter ending of the coffee.
The service was acceptable. We needed to ask them to refill water. Other than that, the wait staff were friendly and responsive. :)
Deco is comfortable and cozy. The toilets are very clean and well maintained.
The cafe has a small area to park car. But if it’s a crowded day, parking is along the road.
This is my favourite cafe in JB at the moment. Would definitely...
