Simple and cozy setup. Kids friendly, with a small play ground.

Many small dishes when you order set meal. We tried Set B. The meat were nicely selected, which are fresh and juicy. Also well marinated, the meat are so delicious to go with their sauce, with vegetable or just by the meat.

There are 2 types kimchi, we liked both :) There are many branches mainly in Johor Bahru, Muar, Batu Pahat.

Service crews are friendly too.

04/07/2019 We went on last Wed and here we are again.

We ordered the same dishes and this time, the meat was burnt. The kimchi are more salty comparing with our last visit. We found the skinny staff (as shown in photo), more skillful to barbecue meat and always serve with a smile.

Apart from the above, we think we will go back again.

We got ourselves a 300g spare ribs and the waiter did not bother to ask how do we want it to be cooked, and he proceeds to cook it without waiting the grill to be hot. I had to walk outside and let the waiters know that I want it to be cooked medium rare but he doesn’t understand basic English. The beef came out well done with no grilled marks,bland,tough and tasteless.

We ordered a spicy soup which tasted bland as well.

I love my kimchi,but the kimchi here might be the worst kimchi I have ever eaten. The only good sides was probably the steamed egg.

Total bill came up to RM130 for 2

Dong seoul is always a pitstop when i come to jb. Pre pandemic i would always look forward to the wonderful side dishes that are very well seasoned. However my opinion of this restaurant have changed.

The side dishes especially the steam egg was 50% water and 50% egg?!

You can choose to have the staff bbq the meat outdoors or grill it yourself. I choose the former as i thought it might be better and less smell on my clothes.

The result was a hastily cooked beef that was done by BLOWTORCH. They then bring it into the restaurant and keep it hot on a portable heater. I have honestly never chewed more than 5 times for a karubi. Also felt that the quality of meat has been downgraded.
