Gianni's Trattoria — Restaurant in Johor

The food served were up to standards. I spent close to three hundred ringgit having dinner here with my beloved wife. However, since the moment when we first stepped into the restaurant, I already noticed the crude and downright boorish attitude of one of the waitresses. I'm specifically referring to the middle-aged, bespectacled Filipino lady (brown and long-haired). Unlike her colleague, another middle-aged and blonde-haired, Filipino lady, the former carried with her an offensive manner. She practically strutted about the establishment as if she was looking for a fight with nobody in particular. Her body language, her facial expressions and her overall demeanor were offensive to say the least. Not wanting to spoil our mood, my wife and I decided to ignore the waitress' stuck-up attitude. To the lady Manager -- if you were to read this review of mine, do take note of what I'm about to say: You'd better tell off this waitress before one of the customers decides to take things into their own hands. Although I'm not one who's keen in starting an argument or even a physical altercation, rest assured that if I ever to come across the same waitress in question and I witness the same type of boorish attitude and demeanor, I shall not hesitate to smash the plate into her face. Your restaurant doesn't sell cheap food and drinks. Patrons dine at the restaurant, expecting to enjoy their meal and be treated with a reasonable amount of respect and courtesy. Having a rude and ill-mannered waitress waiting on tables and serving your precious patrons is definitely a big no-no. And, with that, you ought to consider yourself...

Disappointed to say the least. DO NOT CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY HERE.

Made reservation for two for birthday dinner. When we arrived, there’s no table prep for two, but for four instead. The waiter rushed and picked up another two plates and didnt assemble properly the table for two and said the table is ready. We seat and i arrange the table myself.

Food wise: Bread - ok smoked trout - it was good Seafood pizza - ok but taste better at other place with more generous toppings half the price Sea bass - sucks, most things overcooked, the squid was tough, the fish idk its fresh or not but definitely not appealing. Seems like no flavour. Cheesecake - for me yes its creamy but why its so sweet? Cant really taste the cheese but more to cream. Ice tea - too sour that my partner couldn’t drink it, and mind u he’s a tea lover.

So i told the waiter that the cake is for birthday and yes they did write happy birthday on the cake plate . But the way the waiter serve it; just played happy birthday song on the speaker, serve the cake without any wish or claps, dessert fork, small plate for us to eat it on, to the point we agreed “yea they really didn’t bother” - really annoyed me. I need to ask for fork and they gave us dinner forks and still no small plates (??!?!?)

We paid well to eat here but the service is really bad and the taste also disappointing, is sad. Definitely feel like the money we paid for is wasted. I know the owner is not in that night, but come on. I wish u all can live up to your standard tho, but i wouldnt...

Thanks Gianni's for making my night a disaster..What supposed to be a special evening for me and my fiancee was ruined by your imcompetent staffs/team. Made a reservation a day in advance and specifically told them that it was my fiancee bday and i would like to prepare a suprise with a dessert n candle. Upon arrival on the day i reminded the waitress to serve any dessert with a candle n just to sing bday song if they could as a suprise to my fiancee...Guess what nothing was done...

I received a complimentary dessert becasue the staff did not present us with the pizza menu upon being seated n we were not aware that pizza was available. Upon placing my order i asked the waiter if pizza wad available n he said yes, bringing the pizza menu which i was suppose to receive before placing my order..when i requested to change my main to pizza they told me i cant to that...after finishing my meal only then i wad approached by another staff apologising for this and asked if i wanted the pizza n it was complimentary..of course i said no as i haf alrdy had my main course..

The dessert was served with no candle and nothing..i specificlly chose yr place to celebrate my fiancee bday and it turned out to be a disaster..

I had to get a card from the staff n call up stephanie the manager..she was kind enough and offered us to return for complimentary but however the damage has alrdy been done..it spoiled my whole evening...

Sory, never will.i return nor recommend yr place...
