This was my first time trying Indian cuisine here. To be honest, the food was not appetizing and was quite expensive for what was served. I ordered the Nasi Biryani, which was very oily and lacked flavor. It only came with rice and a few vegetables, and I felt it was not worth the price, but the portion size was quite generous. The service attitude was disappointing. Firstly, the staff member seemed to have difficulty understanding my English or Malay. Secondly, after I placed my order, he simply told me to wait 15 minutes, but I did not see anyone in the kitchen start preparing the food. Ideally, he should have explained that the kitchen was located elsewhere, which was why the wait time was longer. When the food was finally delivered by another staff member on a bicycle, no cutlery was provided. After I requested it, I was only given a spoon. When I asked about a fork, the same staff said none were available, but another staff member later mentioned that there were forks and eventually provided one. The first staff member, however, seemed indifferent and unhelpful throughout.
Overall, it was a very disappointing first experience at...
Read moreThis has to be the best genuine Indian paratha place in south east asia. Being a food blogger and explore myself can vouch with some authority. The real authentic Punjabi style paratha with thick fillings. And that dollop of butter. We visited this place for three consecutive days! Aloo paratha, Paneer Paratha are excellent and Gobi paratha with the crunchy bites of cauliflower pieces even better. Sarson da saag is another must try dish here. The kalakund, cham cham and few other sweets also good. Service is fast and staff are very humble and gentle people. For a Johor Bahru food trail this place is a must to visit and it’s barely 750m away from the immigration CIQ checkpoint. The Budget? Well barely 30MYR = 10SGD = 8USD for four parathas, couple of sweets and two plates of sarson da saag.. enough to feed 3-4 pax!!

Read moreI am a Pani Puri lover and I LOVE THIS PLACE SOOOO MUCH. Very rare to see any place do homemade golgappa / puri. It tasted soooo gooood. They provided tamarind/spicy coriander sauce (maybe)/masala water on the table where you can season them however you like! I also loved Ras Malai as it’s not sharp sweet. Gulab Jamun is pretty standard.
I can’t really complain about the price as it’s pretty much the same (slightly cheaper) compared with the ones I can find in mu hometown (Thailand). Of course the ones in India are WAY CHEAP.
Overall great experience. Felt very authentic (the food...
