My guest and I were disappointed with our meal and experience at AoDeeDee. I write a lot of reviews and rarely if ever give less then 3 stars. The positives are the restaurant has a nice outdoor dining area off the street in an open air structure that has a nice atmosphere with several other restaurants nearby. We arrived around 10:30 on a Thursday night and the place was empty. The server was attentive, and helped us with questions about the food, but did not seem very confident about recommending any particular dish. We let the server know that my guest was allergic to shrimp before placing our order. The BBQ’d Clams which were a nice portion of about 9-10 medium sized clams for 30 RM. Although the claims were tender they lacked flavor, were not seasoned and 80% of the shells were closed so tight I had to ask the server to open them for me. He said this was normal. The Deep Fried Chicken and Garlic, was horrendous. There was very little chicken and what you got was mostly fried batter. If they used whole pieces of chicken, rather then shredded chicken, it may have been better. The Pad Thai had a nice flavor; however the noodles were so starchy that they stuck together in a glutinous blob. Lastly, the Papaya Salad, was loaded with tiny dried shrimp. Only after my guest had a mouthful did she notice. We called the server over and informed him and immediately ordered another dish. He did apologize and blamed it on the chef. It was a very underwhelming dining experience as they struck out badly on almost all the dishes. The final blow was that we were charged for the Papaya Salad, which sat untouched on the table. I can’t understand the good reviews and I can’t imagine this was just a fluke. I cannot recommend this restaurant and would definitely...
Read moreI recently visited Aodeedee in Bukit Bintang and had an overall positive experience with the food. The Tom Yum soup was a highlight - rich, thick, and full of flavor. We requested a substitution to chicken due to seafood allergies, and the flavor was great, bit on a sour and tangy for our taste.
The Pad Thai noodles, however, were a letdown in terms of texture - they were a bit soggy, but the flavor was spot on.
The milk tea was a delight, thick and creamy with an authentic Thai flavor.
Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by the cleanliness of the table and chairs, which were filthy. Additionally, the area we were seated in was plagued by mosquitoes and bugs, making us feel uncomfortable throughout our meal. I would recommend avoiding that section of the restaurant.
Overall, Aodeedee has great potential with its delicious Thai food, but needs to work on maintaining cleanliness and comfort for...
Read moreAuthentic thai cuisine, tomyum soup is one of the nicest in Malaysia. Green curry is nice, more on the milky side instead of curry hint tho. Good portion, not stingy on giving meat for the dishes, very good 👍 prawn is nice and chewy, 🦐 really appreciate they removed the black stuff from the pawns. 👍 Thai milk tea is nice too. Pricing also reasonable.
Outdoor seating is better than indoor seating, outdoor is windy ✨ but indoor smells fishy which the staff also recommended sit outdoor, but hope can improve the indoor. The chinese guy with glasses is not sure if he's the boss, but he's nice and his hospitality is good too, gave us peanuts when we requested for more. Would be happy to come back to...
