Was at the restaurant around 8ish pm @8.9.19. My order was being taken by this Malay waiter (feisal).
His service was rather unprofessional. I asked him, which sauce (from the selection) would go well with the lamb chop and his reply was Everything. I was quite taken aback by such reply from a shangri-la hotel restaurant.
This Malay waiter obviously does Not know anything about the food and the sauce that goes with it.
This also indicate that he couldn’t be bothered to serve the customer. If he doesn’t know about the compatibility of the sauce, then he should take the effort to find out from the chef and recommend to the customer.
By right, the waiter should know all the details in the menu at the back of their head.
Secondly, I was not given the right knife to use for lamb chop.
Overall service by the Malay guy (feisal) was very disappointing.
While the size of the lamb chop served, did not seem like 250g although it is stated in the menu as such.
To pay rm137 for small portion of lamb chop and received lousy service were total rip off. Shangri-la restaurant standard has dropped and does not live up to the standard expected for the...

The Mee Goreng Mamak is what you’d expect at a 5 star hotel - a tasty fried noddle with juicy scallops, prawns, chicken and tofu puffs. This is one of their signature dishes here.
Another popular order here is the mixed satay. Again this is quite decent, but hailing from Kajang, this just doesn’t quite meet my expectation in terms of taste.
I however liked the Chicken Quesadilla especially when you add the sour cream sauce. Best eaten when warm, this is Recommended.
Fried Baby Calamari was crispy and best dipped in the accompanying sour cream sauce.
Special mention for the Sun Dried Tomato and Olive Focaccia bread which was served warm with slabs of butter and an olive tapenade. Very tasty and much appreciated.
Service is warm and hospitable from a well trained and...
