Our reservation has been canceled at the last minute. What a shame, right? We scout other places and keen for convenient ambiance to celebrate birthday girl. One of our BFF is suggesting this place. Hopefully, it meets our expectations and budget.
Food: We ordered a lot yeeeeee. Like literally, we weren't eat during a day at all, almost fasting. Saving belly for dinner. Steam Fish, Black pepper beef, Deep fried honey chicken pandan leaves, Thai herb and spice soup chicken, Stir fry morning glory, Thai Green Curry Chicken, Deep Fry Shrimp with Tamarin Sauce, Thai Omelette. Al of them were Excellend made! Trust me.. i love the green curry and black pepper beef and fry shrimp. Marvelous Delicious, okay! Ahhhh... we ate a lot during dinner. NOTHING LEFT OVER.
Dessert: Since we just ordered refillable plain water so that we can eat a lot without constant, we go for dessert, which were Thai Mango Sticky Rice and Coconut Ice Cream. Both basic must be on point and yessssss... fantastic bombastic! My longterm fav must be sticky rice la. You can taste the sweet of Mango along together with the sourness of the coconut milk and sticky rice made full of Thai Flavor. And that was real coconut ice cream with handmade. Literally kill your taste, bud.
Overall satisfaction, Excellent! The ambiance, the food, and when talking about price. It's unbelievable because from inner space design and interior, it's like an exclusive dine restaurant. The waiters welcoming you. You would expect the price to be $$$$, but when the receipt arrives, it's $$ with all of the food we're ate in moderate spend. Wanna repeat again.
*i read some mean comments about people asking whether the restaurant is halal or not because you can't see pork but the serve alcohol. Let me be clear, if you want to think all of the halal, go grocery and cook for yourself and your family. Everything here in this restaurant was clean, from the chicken even though the food doesn't contain any alcohol for added flavor. They are just serving alcohol if needed to the customer but not in the way of cooking. If you're felt trigger when you see those champagne, wine, whisky at the rack. Don't assume it is non halal. Even Chili's at KLCC as its own bar and smoke area in the middle of the restaurant, but you guys are not complaining further at all. So let's live in a...
Read moreA Memorable Experience at Malai Thai Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Malai Thai Restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible dining experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the stage for a delightful evening.
The menu at Malai Thai offered a wide variety of delectable dishes, and we had the opportunity to try some true gems. The Lemon Steamed Fish was a burst of flavors, perfectly balanced with tangy and zesty notes. The Thai Green Curry was an absolute delight, with its rich and aromatic spices that transported us straight to Thailand. The morning glory vegetable was cooked to perfection, retaining its crispness and complementing the main dishes beautifully. The Tom Yam Shrimps left us longing for more, with its bold and tantalizing blend of herbs and spices. And let's not forget the Pandan chicken, which was tender, fragrant, and simply mouthwatering.
One of the things that impressed me the most about Malai Thai was the reasonable prices. Despite the exceptional quality of the food, the restaurant offers great value for money, making it accessible to a wide range of diners. It's refreshing to find a place that takes pride in delivering outstanding cuisine without breaking the bank.
Equally noteworthy was the service we received. The staff at Malai Thai were incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout the meal. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly added to the overall experience, making us feel valued and well taken care of.
In conclusion, Malai Thai Restaurant exceeded all our expectations. The combination of exceptional food, inviting ambiance, reasonable prices, and top-notch service makes it a standout destination for Thai cuisine. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend visiting Malai Thai. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Read moreFeb 2025 Update: Returned for another team dinner last night. Despite being busy, great service and yet again, exquisitely prepared and presented food! Fried Sea-bass in triple sauce, Stir-fried Chicken and Vegetables, Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Prawn Mee/Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, Chicken and Noodles with Vegetables, superb Mango Sticky Rice and Coconut Ice Cream! Can’t wait to return.
Oct 2024 Update: Returned for dinner. Friendly yet spotty service (had to flag for attention, asked for chopped chilis - never received), food was flavorful but could be spicier. Great ambience. Overall, a good place to visit in a restaurant-rich KLCC area.
Was searching for good, non-touristy Thai food near KLCC for dinner - party of 4. Chanced upon this location - turned out it is located inside the same serviced apartment complex where I had stayed with family in 2018 (Fraser Place, now, Cormar Place Apartments). Decor is find but not spectacular..we were welcomed immediately and had a choice of tables. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered Chicken Satay, Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura, Green Papaya Salad, and River Prawn Tom-Yum as starters. Drinks menu had a good list but only the two beers were available - apparently, the restaurant was awaiting its full license. Appetizers arrived promptly and were delicious and ample! Satay of 6 sticks was succulent with excellent peanut sauce, the salad had julienned green papaya and tomatoes in a lovely dressing, and the soup lived up to its name - yum! The prawns were huge, ample veggies in the soup too - spicy, tangy, sweetish…wow!
Main dishes were Chicken Paenang, Peppery Beef, Vegetable Stir-Fry, and Shrimp Noodles. Again, portions were ample, and the food was spectacular! Fresh, tender, tasty…hot the spot!
Dinner was rounded off with the restaurant’s famous Coconut Ice Cream - a decent portion of ice cream with chunks of coconut in it and with crisp biscuits to round it off! Superb…
A very good find, prices were reasonable - approx RM 860+ including service fee and taxes....
