Box KL — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Hii!! , this is my first time coming here! The staff were very welcoming!

The overall ambiance, is very nice and cozy! The place is very hidden and very dim the overall view!

But the downside is the place has a oily smell / cooked food from the kitchen :(

Nevertheless, I think design wise , I think the owner should implement a ventilation system that could suck out the smell :) , or could introduce more air ventilation!

We ordered:

Beef Aglio Spaghetti (9/10) It’s really good! I finished my plate! The pasta has a balance taste! Balance in between the spiciness of the chili flake and also the Italian herbs! The Streaky Beef is really crispy and well seasoned !

Beef Carbonara Spaghetti (9/10) ITS SO GOOD OMG It doesn’t taste like the typical beef carbonara , theirs has a very distinctive taste and it’s good! There’s a balance between the flavour and also the creaminess of the cheese!

Ice Latte (9/10) The ice latte has a balance in between the bitterness and the sweetness of the coffee The espresso was very well extracted!

Overall I think the owner should implement a good ventilation system because the food is really good😞🫶🏻

Visted on 2 seperate occasion while I was in KL.

1st visit (supper): Just came here for dessert which was quite limited to 2 types of cheesecakes - Basque and Biscoff. Both cheesecakes are chilled. I ordered Basque. It was good but not amazing amazing. I feels like a normal cheesecake.

2nd visit (lunch): Came back to try the mains. Ordered Beef "Carbonara", Biscoff cheesecake and Iced chocolate. The Carbonara was made with cream it was delicious but cream was kind of off-putting. Both Iced coffee and Lotus biscoff was average for me. I wanted to try out croffle but they ran out (should put notice of unavilable items).

On both occasion, the cafe wasn't crowded. Atmosphere was cosy but the interior wasn't spectacular. Staffs could be more welcoming. Price-wise was lower compared to other cafes in...

Go elsewhere if you're hungry. Took over an hour to get an egg sandwich because they made everyone else's food first. Like literally people walking in after us getting served pasta dishes. I can only assume it's because I'm a tourist as I was the only one in the store treated this way. Had to ask for water that everyone else was given with their drink and that took a long while because they ignored me at the counter. The environment was quite claustrophobic because the kitchen smoke sits in the air and burns your eyes. The egg tasted like it had sugar added to it....why? All in all, it was a...
