Service excellence!

This is how these smaller hotels get rated highest than even their higher starred counterparts. I received immaculate service from the staff here from even before the time I booked a stay here. Which shows they are genuinely good ppl. Right from enquiring about the room and their facilities before my stay up until my difficult travel plans. The staff here helped with my difficult requests and were very flexible to accomodate my travel plans which much more expensive hotels weren't willing to do. I'd rather stay here and have peace of mind rather than at snootier places. ! Thanks to the aunty at reception and the night manager FEES!

Coming to the product itself ...

Rooms were clean and nice ! Cosy but nice Bathroom clean and functional, partition for shower which prevents wet loos There was Space for bags and for hanging clothes in my room Travel adapter provided !!! Life saver again. No smoking in the property , except on the terrace with a beautiful view. Wi fi is good too Coffee and hot water provided at reception Common Fridge at rooftop. Main door is usually locked some1 from the staff has to beep u in , which we had no trouble with. Pics of the rooms are accurate. In a quaint lane off Chinatown with some street at at the alley next door 4 min walk to masjid Jamek metro...

I booked for a month stay at the private room because all of the great reviews that i read of this hostel.

When i got there their wifi is not working on my iphone and one of the guys that worked there said oh i don’t know why our wifi doesn’t like iphones.

Well that’s not a good sign.

Try to connect my laptop to their wifi and it wouldn’t connected. I had to uninstall and reinstall my wifi drive and it got connected but I couldn’t open slack or airtable which i needed for my work.

Can’t connect vpn to their wifi either. There was another guest that tried to helped me and he ended up having the same issue.

After 4 hours trying to figure this out, i told them i had to move hotel. They refunded me my money, i moved to a more expensive hotel (no choice because it’s lunar new year) and when i got to that new hotel, their wifi connected right away to my phone and laptop.

I booked this through hostelworld and they wouldn’t refunded my deposit even though this was out of ordinary situation.

2 stars because the lady at the front desk was trying to help me out.

I can’t suggest this place for people who are digital nomads because of the wifi situation. Please change your wifi settings to save your future guests from headaches and wasting their...

Overall hotel not too bad. It is worth with the budget price. The WiFi speed is can up to 30Mbps during night time, no disconnect over the whole day and night. Stable and fast. Internet quality comparable to the four stars hotel. The toilet in the room also quite clean. The most impressive to me as they are providing 24 hours for coffee and tea. There are serving few types of coffee and tea. You can choose what you like anytime. Breakfast also provided even in budget hotel, bread and toast are serving in morning with fruit jam and butter. 👍👍👍. The hotel stuffs also polite and helpful. Their face always keep smiling. Most of them well speaking in English and Malay. So no worry about the communication issue. Overall consider is a good quality budget hotel and also suitable for short stay. My bad luck during stayed one night over there. One of the stupid and brainless China guy talking phone at corridor around 11pm. He thought the wall is sound proof and other people all are deaf. His voice very annoying whole night. May be he want people to know he is talking in phone. However this is the price I paid for. So can’t blame too much...
