The HOTEL "Manager" said: “We don’t clean rooms every day!” ⚠️ Honest Review: A Disappointing Experience Hello everyone, I’d like to share my honest experience at this hotel. Let me begin by acknowledging the female receptionists—they were consistently polite, cooperative, and attentive. Every time I asked for assistance, they went above and beyond, often offering more help than I expected. Their professionalism deserves recognition. Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by a serious issue: the hotel’s approach to cleanliness and the behavior of its manager. Despite upgrading to a larger room with a private bathroom and paying a total of RM 480, I was shocked to discover that bed sheets were not changed daily, and the bed began to smell I never expected they didn't change it the first couple of days. This level of hygiene is unacceptable, especially at this price point—frankly, I could have booked a far better place on Airbnb, for example. When I politely asked the manager to send someone to clean the room (didn't mention the bed sheets yet), his response was even more surprising. He said, “Didn’t they clean it yesterday?” I clarified that I was referring to today, but he repeated, “Didn’t they clean it yesterday?”—as if that justified skipping today’s cleaning. I asked, “Don’t you clean rooms daily?” and he replied, “No, it’s costly!!!” I paid what you asked for didn't I ?!!!!! And it's not mentioned anywhere I need to pay extra to get the bed sheets, pillows and covers changed daily!!!!! I was stunned. I told him this should be clearly stated on the booking platform so guests are aware of the hygiene policy here. I even asked him, “Have you ever stayed in a hotel before?” His final reaction? He looked at me angrily saying we don't clean daily! and walked away—which was even more surprising, such behavior could easily escalate tensions with guests to unpredictable results! We are not your enemies, "Manager", and we are asking for what we paid for and it's a normal thing. Cleaning and changing pillows and bed sheets and covers is absolutely normal, and I wonder what training or standards are expected for the role of "Managers" needed anywhere in the world. This is the manager—someone entrusted with guest satisfaction and hotel standards. 🧾 Message to the Owner: Leaving the hotel under such management in charge is a liability. If a guest with a short temper had this experience, it could escalate into a serious incident that could even bring the authorities to the hotel—and for what?! Hygiene is not optional. It’s not “costly”—it’s a basic service, a standard, and something guests pay for. As an accountant, I can assure you: this is not a cost issue, it’s a poor management practices. AGODA, please consider seriously investigating this hotel until they replace this type of "Management" and strictly apply hygiene rules—especially changing bed sheets and covers daily!and I have paid for this service but didn't get it fully! 🚫 Final Advice: Becareful when booking this hotel. There are far better options out there—cleaner, more professional, and respectful of guests. Even a modest Airbnb would offer better value and service. I stayed in many hotels before, and it's something never brought up for a discussion in any hotel, cleaning and changing bed sheets and covers was done daily—no need to call and ask for it! That’s what’s happening in Al Amin Hotel: you have to ask them to clean the room and maybe have a tenstion situation to get your room cleaned!

Pros: - Strategic location. Got a lot of shops near to hotel. Also near to LRT Masjid Jamek. - Great aircond. - Supply lots of toothbrush sets 👍🏻 Also have coffee, sugar, mineral water, cups. - Bilik bersih, bathroom also bersih. - Whatsapp admin reply very fast to my inquiries. Cons: - Check in process is very long. Dah mention booking kat agoda, nama etc etc. Tapi receptionist still mentioned and asked "oh bukan pakai xxx?". I forgot the name of the website. Search nama booking pun tak jumpa. Siap bagi order ID. Jenuh berapa kali sebut nama and guna Agoda. Even before check in, I already inform the hotel through whatsapp that I will be late, attached together the agoda confirmation. The admin noted my whatsapp. - Receptionist tak bagi kunci manual to lock the door. We only found this out during check out time. During checkout, another staff attend us and we asked how to lock the door. She asked back, "Eh tak ada dapat kunci manual ke?" 🙌🏻 - Masuk bilik, ada one or two towels yang macam dah digunakan. Idk whether housekeeping lupa ambil ke apa. But memang disidai elok kat hanger as if someone baru mandi and sidai towel to dry it. Bukannya towel baru yang dilipat/digulung. - I dont really mind if there is a TV or not but since in Agoda they state that TV provided in all rooms, so I expect that there will be a TV la kan? Also, there is a tv cable attach to the plug in my room. During checkout, we asked the staff to confirm memang tak ada tv ke. She confidently said ada. We told her again, theres no tv. And she confidently said one more time "Ada tv" 😭 3 customer against 1 receptionist. She could atleast asks another staff or housekeeping to check the room to confirm but she didnt. I hope someone can bring her to the room and show her whether theres a TV or not. - Theres no air panas for the shower. After check in, we tried to pusing the kepala paip left and right but both still the same, both are very cold. The next morning, still the same. Around 4pm, suddenly theres hot shower when we turn the kepala to the left. We dont know whats the problem. - Theres no liquid soap but 2 sabun buku were provides. - Check out process time is shorter than check in. She communicated with another staff to check whether our room is okay or not. But she didnt ask about the TV. Overall: - Really disappointed because I put high expectation towards this hotel since the price is quite high. Theres a lot more cheaper hotels which are better than this hotel, better services, better facilities. Wont repeat.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience, because of the following reasons: * The first room we got had A LOT of mold and the AC wasn’t working. When we requested a new room, the reception said we can only get it the next day. When we got the new room, it only had LESS mold and the AC wasn’t working properly as well. * One day when we requested room service, and we came back in the evening the room was just as dirty as before. I called the receptionist, who just said okay after I explained what happened and hung up on me. I had to go down to the reception myself and ask a third time for room service, for someone to come clean the room. * I put a small bag in one of the cupboards, and left it there for a couple of days. WHEN I TOOK IT OUT, IT WAS FULL OF MOLD (see picture) * The bed sheets and towels smelled bad and sometimes had stains. When I asked for new towels once, the guy just told me that they don’t have any clean ones at the moment. What kind of service is this? * The smell was AWFUL. In the room, the bathroom, the hallway - it smelled really bad. As a Muslim, I was excited to support a Muslim business but I regretted ever booking this hotel. It is not acceptable to give people moldy rooms and expect them to be fine with it. Cleanliness is a must for any hotel, no matter the price, and this hotel was one of the worst I ever saw in that regards. Only upside is the location, but that’s not worth it.

⚠️ Honest Review: A Disappointing Experience

Hello everyone,

I’d like to share my honest experience at this hotel.

I asked, “Don’t you clean rooms daily?” and he replied, “No, it’s costly!!!”

I paid what you asked for didn't I ?!!!!!

I’m local malaysian have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I’m also on budget travelling and found this hotel which already expensive and there is hidden charge. RM207.70 (as stated in ads) for twin bed, 2 nights + RM12 tax + RM50 deposit. Better book through airbnb same price more safety for staycations! I come by car which the hotel stated there will be parking space but the hotel did not provide when I’m check-in the room. Very disappointed! Only outdoor parking across the street which is RM50 PER DAY, RM15 for 1 HOUR. Jalan Tun Perak is car-free road so if you come don’t drive, only for pedestrians and nearby LRT Masjid Jamek. EXPENSIVE ROOM FOR BUDGET TRAVELERS!

The equipment also they’re not clean up before new guests enter the room?. MAGGI BASI DALAM KETTLE??? Yuuuckkssss!! Room servis tak function!! No iron provided. No need add on for breakfast because there’s lot food stall and restaurants nearby hotel. I’m not confirming if they cook clean?? The tv didn’t have netflix not even local channel. Only watching animals the entire days which is not national geographic. I dont have any idea what channel is that.

The twin bed room. 2 nights. No window. Only personal toilet with transparent wall. For RM270.20. Are you kidding me?! Soundproofing also was a scammed. The room infront of elevator, people passing by very noisy and you can hear lrt sounds in the room. Air conditioning were fine.

There no safety for solo ladies travelers. The door lock not functioning well. Room service enter the room without permission while guest still sleeping? I’m still waiting for the manager give me footage of the CCTV on MONDAY 31/7/2023 around 7am in the morning for room 102 level 1. But still no response from the hotel. Melainkan manager dah delete the footage and tuduh I cakap, I make accusation for the hotel. I can make a police report regarding this issue. Ladies please be careful! The staff also foreigners will took advantage on women.

I’m not recommend for family staycations. As the hotel is at the center of traffic light 🚦 not safe for kids. There also beggars on the street sleep during nighttime and sit there during day time. Scared to go out to buy snack during the night.

During my check-out time the manager also did not come to work. The hotel service very bad.

Worst experience ever with this hotel. Not clean well. No safety. No parking space. Beggars on the street. Expensive.
