I had a very bad experience here. Very bad. Nothing good about this place. I am not here to destroy someone business. But i am here to tell my honest opinion. A couple of years ago i stayed here. Back then it was fine. But just now something exploded under the sink. Crazy. Smoke everywhere. So i called the reception. The owner came up, looked at it and somehow thought it was fine. I did get another room. Yaaaay lucky us. Then i asked him if this happens a lot. He said it happens once in a while. Oh my. Like it is a normal thing. I am not sure what they think about the safety of the clients. I hope they care at least a little bit. If you care a bit about your own safety i would recommend you not to stay there. We left as soon as we could and didn't look back. They didn't seem to care why we didn't want to stay there anymore. The wife of the owner said sorry but also didn't care much. Crazy. So already at the check-in they didn't seem to know what they were doing. Rooms are not clean and they never heard of good service. I hope the owner will read this and hire someone who knows something about hospitality and safety haha. I work in tourism, so i know what to expect. This is more than bad. I hope i can help someone not to book there. Please run. As fast and as far as you can.

Just tried a staycation at 1915 Hotel, and honestly — it’s such a hidden gem right in the heart of KL! The location is super strategic — you can literally walk to Masjid Jamek, and it’s super close to viral spots like Dataran Merdeka, River of Life, and tons of trendy food places! The room is minimalist but clean and comfortable — perfect for solo travelers or a trip with friends. The AC is cold, hot water works perfectly, and the bed is soft — a great place to rest after a full day of exploring the city. What I really love is that the price is super affordable, but the service still feels professional and friendly. Check-in was fast, staff were helpful, and even though it’s in the city center, the vibe is peaceful. If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel that doesn’t feel cheap, 1915 Hotel should definitely be on your list! It’s convenient, comfy, and perfect for exploring KL without the hassle.

In term of access, this hotel has good location, just in walking distance from Masjid Jamek LRT station and several tourist destinations such as Masjid Jamek, Merdeka Square and Central Market. But this also gives drawback as we can hear the noise of train passing by. The room is very small, but yes.. it's worth the price. The aircon and wifi works well, basic shower kits are available, too (soap, shampoo and towels). Other stuff like hair dryer is available upon request. I also like that they provide mineral water (in gallon) in public area, so we can refill our bottle. It's more environmental friendly. :)

NOT RECOMMENDED, NOT WORTH IT

I would not recommend Hotel 1915 to anyone, as their customer service attitude and handling of customer requests need improvement. The hotel's strict policies, combined with their unprofessional and rude behavior, make for an unpleasant experience. It is essential for hotels to understand their guests and be accommodating to their needs, especially during unforeseen emergencies, to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay.

During my stay, i had a problem checking out on time due to an emergency and I was far from the hotel area. I tried to communicate with the hotel to inform them in advance of the situation and even made arrangements for the card and key to be sent through Lalamove. However, the hotel still charged me a late fee of RM30 for the first hour which equivalent to around 30% of the room fee per night deducted from my deposit in which the key and card has been passed at 1.30pm. The hotel was not accommodating to my situation, even though I have did my best to inform them in advance and made arrangements for the card and key to be returned.

The strict policy on late checkout, with the steep of around 30% late fee for just around 1hour late, also seemed very unreasonable and it’s not even 1.30pm. The next new guest shud be checking in by 3pm. I’m ok to pay if it’s on minimal basis and on reasonable rate. Other hotels I have stayed at have been more lenient, understanding that unforeseen situations can arise. The hotel's refusal to accept any reason for late check-out and the unprofessional behavior of the customer service representative who claimed to be the owner only made the situation worse.

Additionally, the customer service representative, who claimed to be the owner which I converse via phone, was unprofessional and had a bad attitude towards me. Instead of trying to understand my situation, he talked back to me in a rude manner with a high tone. I tried to be as polite and as courteous as I be before getting angered by cocky his response. This behavior is unacceptable and does not show good customer service.

Next major inconvenienced for me as guest is they are locking the main glass door manually after midnight and they does not provide an access card or even a bell for entry. This means that guests have to rely on the front office staff to open the door for them every time they need to go in or out of the hote if it’s after midnyte or early morning. It is particularly inconvenient, especially when returning to the hotel after midnight when the staff may be asleep. This is a serious issue as it puts guests' safety at risk and can lead to further inconvenience if the staff member does not wake up. On the second night, I have difficulties to access, I did called but no one’s answering, tried knocking still no response after the 2nd call then only the staff came coz he was sleeping at the back room. I waited around 20mins just for the door to be unlocked.

Many hotels provide access cards as a standard amenity to ensure guest safety and convenience. It is a basic expectation of guests that they will have the freedom to move in and out of their hotel without having to wait for someone to open the door for them. By not providing this simple amenity, Hotel 1915 is falling short of basic guest expectations.

Overall, my stay at Hotel 1915 was unpleasant and disappointing. The hotel's poor customer service attitude, lack of responsiveness, and subpar amenities made for a less than ideal experience. While the location of the hotel may be convenient, I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to the customer service and overall quality of the rooms and amenities.

The hotel's lack of accessibility and security measures only add to the negative experience of staying at Hotel 1915. It is crucial for hotels to prioritize guest safety and convenience, and unfortunately, this hotel fails to do so. The inconveniences and safety risks posed by the lack of accessibility and security measures further add to the poor experience of staying...

When I decided to book this hotel, I had booked this with confidence as I was recommended by a Friend. Unfortunately, although it classified as Budget hotel, I Guess it require a little maintenance to keep up the quality of the room for a stay. The bed was a bit too old, the comforter, I'm not sure on those pillows too perhaps to change to better quality ones. I'm lucky I made the decision to pay a little more for the window rooms. The lighting was way too dark to do my make ups. And girls if you are up to doll up, get a window room and table mirror. I can barely see much if I don't open that curtain. I could not easily shift that to the side. The heater wasn't able to adjust the heat. Thank goodness there are still some heat. |I'm expecting there are at least Bath / shampoo being provided. Because the room wasn't very spacious. I Guess it is better to add a shower curtain as it wet all the areas in the bathroom. |||So after all, if you are the fussy and very sensitive skin you may avoid booking so you don't get an ultimate disappointment. if you some easy Traveller. This could be for you : ) amenities are very close by. MRT is just...
