This place. So good 😍😍
I have an event to attend at a mosque nearby, and saw this cafe on my list that’s just 7min away. I’m so happy I decided to wake up early and come by for breakfast first. Arrived at 8.15am on a Saturday and there were lots of seats available.
After referring to other Google reviews, I decided to get the Egg Benedict.
I never order this dish because I don’t like the regular hollandaise sauce. But they make their own avocado hollandaise sauce so I decided to give it a chance. Oh my was I impressed!!
I chose to switch out the sourdough muffin into sourdough pancakes - what a win it was! And. Best highlight? It has a vegetarian option!!!! 😍 Ingredients used were fresh, taste was well-balanced and very soul-nourishing. I believe there was some ginger slices in it too as part of the flavour profile? Anyway. It was sooo good.
Paired with a REALLY good filter coffee. It totally made my day. I enjoyed the music played at the cafe as well!
I was like, mini dancing in my seat while enjoying my breakfast on my own here 🤣
Overall, while on the pricier end, I would say my experience was well worth it. Will definitely come back again to try all their pastries and other...
Read moreMy second visit to Bray was made alone — which might actually be ideal. To really sample and enjoy the bread, you have to be completely focused, and yet, also completely relaxed.
It may sound contradicting, but if you are on your phone or talking to a friend, you may easily miss the craftsmanship and attention to detail brought into each bite of the delicate yet unassuming dishes here.
I had the sweet potato hummus and Moroccan beef. There is nothing more to say except — try everything. Try it all. It is good.
I may not have enough time or money to sample every bakery product or meal here, but it will certainly not stop me from trying.
In terms of ambiance, as long as you are not here at peak lunch (12-2) you should be fine. The workers seem friendly, motivated, and the positivity shows in the food.
I have nothing bad to say about the drinks either. Except, if you like your beverage unsweetened, please let them know when ordering. I like mine just as sweet as they make it.
Always keep an eye on their Instagram for seasonal delights, they do sell out quick. But aside from that, you can always order online or browse their wares in person.
Bray Bakery is highly...
Read moreI’m challenging myself to order out of my usual comfort cafe food and I’m pleased by the outcome!
Ham & Cheese (RM15) - you gotta try it! It’s crispy and ham was generous. The glaze over the pastry gives it a nice sweet lamination.
Pain Au Chocolat (RM15) Buttery, flaky and fluffy! No full picture because we started devouring and realised after it was too late haha. Chocolate used was rich and darker than the usual ones in the market. The chocolate to pastry ratio could be better if we are being honest, I mean look at the picture…
Charred Eggplant & Zucchini Shashuka (RM29) - Delightful vegetarian dish to have as brunch that packs a punch. The pomodoro stew given was more than enough to pair with the fresh sourdough.
Coffee was smooth but loose leaf tea wasn’t our favourite since it was too bitter. Servers could be more attentive, we had to get our own cups and tissues even after sitting for awhile. The café can get quite packed and noisy past noon so best to come before then to secure nice seats. Overall a chill place for brunch if you’re in town. Parking is absolutely not an issue because the occupancy of this building is quite low and not many people come...
