This is the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. The staff seemed like soulless characters. It’s not a problem if they don’t smile, but every question was met with a robotic response. When we sat down, the table sign showed a QR code to view the menu but didn’t indicate that we needed to scan it to place an order.
So, we called a staff member over to ask how to order. The staff (dressed in black, presumably a manager, though clearly unqualified) gave us a glance that felt like we owed them a million dollars, then completely ignored us. We waited for 10 minutes with no response until my husband went to ask directly and found out we had to scan the QR code to order! Shouldn’t your signage be clearer?
We arrived at around 10:45 a.m. when it wasn’t busy. We placed our order at 11 a.m., but the food took 45 minutes to arrive! When we asked the staff about it, they gave us the same robotic expression and said, “Wait.” No explanation was provided. Tables next to and even further away from us, who ordered later, received their food before us!
The pancakes were a massive disappointment—extremely dry. If it weren’t for our hungry child, I would’ve just paid and left.
To encounter such poor service on the first day of the new year, with staff acting like zombies, is unacceptable. Management really needs to train the staff better. I will never return. With so many great cafes in Pavilion, why waste money here?

Read moreI can't recommend Dome highly enough! If you're looking for a fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch, this is the place.
Their Eggs Benedict is absolutely perfect, are always cooked just right, and the hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy. I also highly recommend their Nasi Lemak; it’s one of the best I've had in town, with a great balance of flavors and the rice is insanely flavorful with a strong coconut aroma.
And for coffee lovers, you're in for a treat. Their cappuccino is truly one of the best around, with a deep, robust flavor and a perfect foam.
Some things can be optimized:
Pricing of certain items. While some dishes are reasonably priced, others are wildly marked up. For example, charging RM15 for a single cup of Dilmah Earl Grey tea is, frankly, outrageous. Dilmah is a low-quality brand that costs around RM11 for a box of 20 bags. A 30x markup on a single tea bag is excessive and feels like a rip-off.
I've noticed fingerprints on the dishes more than once. It's a small detail, but it makes the dining experience feel less clean and professional.
Overall, though, Dome has become a favorite spot, and I love coming back here. The quality of the food and coffee is...
Read moreI actually really liked this place and some of their products, especially the heavenly scones, but the service is terrible.
I wouldnt recommend coming here if you are on any kind of schedule.
Recently, I ordered a muesli and a mocha.
I waited 40 minutes just for the mocha (!?), and after 45 minutes, the muesli still hadnt arrived. Muesli, one of the simplest dishes on their menu. I asked about it after 30 minutes of waiting, and all I got was a casual “oh yes, your muesli” as a staff member rushed past me.
When I went to pay, still without having received the muesli, I mentioned the long wait times and the missing item. I was brushed off with a careless, “well, we had a lot of orders.”
No apology, no attempt to make up for it, not even a small gesture like offering something while I waited. No one mentioned when I sat down that there might be a long wait, or asked if that would be okay.
Honestly, the whole experience felt unprofessional and inconsiderate. I have never waited this long for such basic items in any café - and to be treated so dismissively afterwards was just disrespectful.
Hugely...
