While Dome is rarely a first choice for me when I want to eat out, yesterday when I thought of fish and chips after a morning of running errands I said to my husband let's go to KLCC and eat at Dome. However upon arrival, both my husband and I were quite upset with the service for an establishment that has long been in KLCC.

Our drinks took a while to arrive (upwards of 20 minutes) which is surprising considering it's just drinks and you have more than 2 people working the drink station, and our food took extra long which is shocking seeing as it wasn't peak lunch hour yet (the outside area was not packed).

The call button whilst working was not effective. There were several servers around and yet nobody tended to our table (number 34B) with haste.

The only redeeming quality of our experience was the food. The fish and chips portion was big and could probably have been split between my husband and I. The butter rice (add on) to the roasted chicken dish was delicious and left you wanting more.

But I say this with a caveat – I decided to take away the fish and chips because I couldn't finish the second portion of fish. To my disappointment when I reached home to eat it, the fish and chips were wrapped in a measly grease paper and stuffed into the takeaway paper bag. One this was unhygienic for an establishment such as Dome, and two it is disappointing because the dishes here are not cheap so it baffles me that the food was not packed in a plastic container or biodegradable container etc.

I feel like patrons deserve better than the service I received yesterday...

The incompetency of this customer service was not only humiliating but left a bitter taste in my mouth. I am never coming back here again. It was supposed to be a good experience with friends but the staff at the counter never rectify anything before the come to the customer. I already paid for the food before it even arrived at our table and after we finished our meal and left the restaurant,they sent a staff after me with a receipt showing something I did not order and told me to come back and when I did,they started interrogating me as to whom did I pay the money to and I told them I paid online and had to show the proof through my phone.The cashier at the counter started going through receipt after receipt to see if I paid or not,then when they found my receipt and confirmed I paid they told me that I paid and I can go . I hated the fact that I had to stand there like I was guilty,like I was a thief and it was very humiliating because the staff never confirmed anything before they started coming after me and decided to humiliate me and they never even apologised after all that. The sheer stupidity left me with rage. Don’t come to this cafe, it’s not worth the time or even the money,their food is too mid for the that price anyway and their customer service is the worst. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my whole life.I paid more than Rm230 only to be treated like a thief. Was it because of my race ? This was disgusting,I wish I had never gone there.
