Overall, food is commendable. price is reasonable and that is about all for this place. If i have to pinpoint on one thing, it would be the service! The outlet supervisor/manager need to go for basics training on customer service. He's cold, no smile, not welcoming and in fact, has some (i'm the manager ok) air in him. BIG DEAL!
Like I've said earlier, we were the first customer and our order didn't come at one go. While 3 came within 10 minutes after order, the last dish made us wait for 25 minutes and that was the Tom Yum fried rice! Why? coz they were busy attending to the Grab Food orders despite we ordered first! What kinda system is this? When we checked with the supervisor/manager (specky guy) he replied rudely with "coming. coming ok" (sounded agitated) and when he finally send the order, he did not even bother to apologize nor bat an eyelid! he just placed the food on the table and walked off! Now that's what i call "lousy service" especially when it comes for an outlet supervisor/manager! the rest of the crew (all Thais) were very courteous...
Read moreConsider yourself lucky that I'm not Gordon Ramsay, because this chicken is so raw, it might start clucking.
I have dined here before and enjoyed their tomyam noodles. This is my second time dining and I ordered Chicken TomYam and white rice. After I received my tomyam, I took a few sips and when I picked up the chicken, I saw that it was not cooked enough. I took another piece of chicken and lo and behold, it's straight up raw.
I asked them to change to a new one and cook it for longer, and it came out once more still raw.
I was dumbfounded. It's cut chicken in broth, which is quite possibly the easiest way to cook chicken. How did you not notice while transferring the food into the bowl that the food is not cooked????
After showing it to the staff, they took it back to the kitchen. After a stranger next to me warned me the dangers of raw chicken, I cancelled my order. They tried to convince me to stay by replacing my meal to green curry/seafood.
You think after being served raw chicken twice I'd be confident in their food handling? No. I...
Read moreWe came across this restaurant almost by accident as it is down a recently renovated walkway in The Gardens, lower ground floor. The friendly and efficient service is matched by the quality and variety of the menu. We are slowly making our way thriugh all tne options as we dont want to miss out. We do have some favourites already including the pineapple fried rice, garlic kankung, crispy fish and dried chilli chicken. The drinks options are varied with fruit juices and soft drinks. Can get quite busy but that is always a good sign of good food at affordable price. Go as a group or family and get plates to share. I hope you wont be disappointed. We love this place and planning to take some visitors from overseas there shortly - one is vegetarian however there are plenty of good choices from the menu. I know there are many choices for Thai food in and about Mid Valley / The Gardens but Mr, Tuk Tuk should be on your must try list - it is well worth discovering...
