I’d like to share my recent and very disappointing experience with Naj & Belle, which unfortunately began even before we arrived at the venue.
I made a reservation well in advance, on 15th May 2025 for a special dinner on 24th May at 7 PM to celebrate my mother’s birthday.
In my booking, I clearly mentioned : “ Birthday celebration, possible get corner seats for convenience purposes. Do you guys also provide a slice of cake for free?”
To our surprise, we only received a response on the day of the dinner itself, at 12 PM, informing us that no complimentary cake is provided. By this time, we had already purchased a birthday cake from an external bakery. Only then were we informed that a RM30 of cake fee would apply unless we spent over RM500, something that had never been mentioned beforehand.
There were no publicly stated terms and conditions, no upfront clarification, and no notice during the reservation process.
When we raised this issue with the staff, we were told they would relay the matter to management and consider updating the policy. While the staff did apologize, it felt like a procedural response that offered no resolution in the moment.
This situation wasn’t about the RM30 fee, it was about the lack of transparency and foresight in customer communication, especially for a pre-booked special occasion. Such oversights reflect a lack of professionalism that can significantly affect the overall guest experience.
Going forward, I urge the management to ensure:
Clear and accessible communication of all relevant policies (e.g., cake charges, minimum spend requirements) on the website and during the booking process. Staff are trained to handle and respond to special requests with a sense of responsibility and care.
Terms and conditions are properly displayed or made available to guests in advance (not as a last-minute surprise)
Professionalism starts with anticipating customer needs and managing expectations clearly.
Unfortunately, in this case, the lack of communication and inconsistency in policy enforcement left us disappointed and dissatisfied.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve the experience for...
Read moreIts easy to find, but parking is limited. The price is a bit high, around 20-40 per dish. But the portion is quite big so no issue there. I can only review what Ive tried as in pictures. The staffs are all very attentive and fast, we dont have to wait to be served and the food arrived quickly as well to our table. The environment is good, the seat is quite close to each other, but its understandable cause the space is limited. The washroom is clean but a bit small. They also have sink to wash your hands outside the washroom.
As for the food, so far me and partner think their steak is the one we love most. We have tried few in other places but so far Naj & Belle Bangsar has he most delicious one. Very juicy and savory. I also loved their bread with creamy mushroom, it tastes so good till I feel ‘muak’ a bit. I think Since their food portion is quite big, me and partner should order only 1 main if we want to order their bread with mushroom soup. Otherwise, we couldnt finish our food. We have also tried their spaghetti, big breakfast as well as fishnchips, they are okay. They dont awe me like their steak. I came here once for dinner and the other time for breakfast. I think I prefer breakfast time more. As for the drinks, we dont really try much so cant comment on that. Ive also never tried their desserts yet, maybe next time.
Overall, its a decent place to enjoy good food, and for celebration as well. I think we can make reservation if we want to hold any kind of event. Ill come again to try their dessert next time, and will repeat the...
Read moreVisited this place on a weekday evening as recommended by a friend. Parking here is really tough took some time to find an empty slot. Apparently the signature here is the watermelon cake but we didn't try it. We decided to come here for the mains instead. Took a while before deciding what to get and we got an appetizer and 2 mains. The appetizer came was the crispy onion. Thought it would be something like onion rings turned out it looked like small strips of onion. The portion was decent but it looked quite glossy and we thought it looked quite oily. Turned out it was while eating and so would be better if they have taken a bit more time to dry the oil from the dish. Then came the squid ink spaghetti. The dish looked quite pretty in black and red can't wait to try it. Taste was pretty good and I didn't expect it to be on the spicy side. Portion was also decent for 2 to share. And they were quite generous with the prawns as well. Then came the pan fried halibut, which I thought was the best dish of the meal. The halibut was so well executed could taste the freshness and the juicyness of the fish. Also the mashed potato below the fish was so smooth and good I could have asked for more. My friend was quite surprised as she tried before and found it average but this time she said the food quality has definitely improved a lot. I find that it's worth visiting and the price is quite reasonable as well. Don't really need to order too much as the portions are quite decent for sharing. Good and...
