The dinner tonight was the worst one since I’ve been KL for 3 weeks. I’m so disappointed in this restaurant. All of the street stall food I’ve tried were even better than theirs. The restaurant have a good decoration but they completely waste food. All meat were definitely frozen with bad quality. The chicken meat in claypot was awful, old and gross like left food. The mushroom was watery and tasteless. The rice was not cooked, I told them and they cooked it again and still not 100% cooked. As a qualified chef, he should know the rice in claypot couldn’t be good anymore if he failed at the first time, ok? So I changed to seafood noodles. You know what? The prawn inside was not even fresh frozen prawn. It’s packaged prawn, I can’t say it’s genuine prawn. Boss should know that type of food is bad for your customers’ health, ok? I really need the boss and the chef to take it seriously. I don’t think they have a real chef in this restaurant. He knows nothing and disrespects food. And the boss disrespects his customers. The soup of the noodles, and vegetables inside tasted not fresh, either. The soup tasted like from package, too. The milk tea might be powder as well. Cause I said half sugar, and they answered me the milk tea was without sugar. And then it’s sweet. So it must be powder milk tea. It is indeed cheaper than other same type restaurants. But this was the first time I saw “fake” prawn in Malaysia. I’m so angry that they have 4.8/5 score. I don’t know what they did to this restaurant. I will never go again even if they serve me free food. I paid as usual btw. And I really wasted my money. I had to drink lots of water to dilute the food in my tummy...
Read moreA true gem in KL. Nikka was within walking distance of my Airbnb and had great reviews so my family and I decided to go there for dinner. I am so glad we did. Nikka was a much welcomed break from days of hawker food. The food, restaurant, and service were all amazing. They have very comfortable seating and quick service. My parents are hard to please when it comes to food but they praised the chef for doing a good job. We particularly liked the Singapore noodles, Cantonese Ying Yang, veggie dish, and roti canai. My family spent the evening comfortably eating delicious food in a nice, clean, air conditioned spot with friendly servers. What more can I ask for on vacation. I highly recommend giving...
Read moreFood is average, but the servers need to be more clear on which promotions are which. Server came up to us advertising the "girls night" free cocktail night, which we ordered. While paying, we realised that the cost of the cocktail was added onto the bill. When confronted, the barely-English speaking staff had no idea what was going on and the bosses/managers acted like we were at fault as we ordered a cocktail that wasn't a part of the offer. We have no problem paying for it, but the staff should be more clear on this.
While the cost wasn't massive for us, it might be for the next customer who cannot afford a RM32 cocktail simply because the staff could not...
