What a scam and super unhygienic place.
Pls never ever come here if you dont want to get food poisoning. We had the worst diarrhoea and vomit ever in the morning straight after we ate our dinner here the night before. Uncontrollable diarrhoea til my husband and I seeing doctor and issue bunch of medications for us to stop our worst symptoms of food poisoning.
For some reason, their salad vege taste very weird with some dishwasher taste at the sauce
When i go to their toilet, it looks pretty clean. However I observed those workers in the kitchen keep scratching their body parts and their hair nonstop as they cook.
We ordered 2 sets of banana leaf: 1 vege nasi briyani, and 1 chicken nasi briyani. Before we came in, we asked their restaurant a few waiters whether the rice and vege are refillable for free, they said yes can refill. Then as we ate finish, we asked their restaurant again whether is it possible to refill the rice, the waiter said need to ask their boss first. After that, the boss came out and say yes only can refill one time for us, and only one person can refill, so we said okay.
As we pay the bill, they went and charge us extra 1 more set of banana leaf pricing for the rice refill, when we ask them about it, they say got charges. Seriously what a scam. Means in fact it’s actually non-refillable, but they lied to us in order to attract us to come in to dine.
Also, before i ordered my vege nasi briyani set, i asked the waiter whether does this set includes egg? The waiter said yes it includes. Ended up the bill charge me extra rm2 just for a freaking hard boiled egg. And they never even inform me upfront about the charges at all, and straight billed me. You may refer to the attached receipt for further details.
At first, i didnt bother to give a review even tho they overcharged us. But after encountered half day of unbearable food poisoning, i think it’s a courtesy for us to advice others to take note on the food hygience here. It was such a nightmare to us eating here, will definitely never...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Oh Yeah Banana Leaf Restaurant in Brickfields, and I must say it was an absolutely splendid experience from start to finish! The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for a delightful meal.
What truly made my visit memorable was the exceptional hospitality and customer-centricity displayed by the manager, Sree. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Sree made sure that every aspect of my dining experience was taken care of. His attention to detail and genuine care for the customers is truly commendable.
The service at Oh Yeah Banana Leaf Restaurant was top-notch. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and cater to any dietary preferences or restrictions.
Now, let's talk about the food! The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes served on a banana leaf, which adds a unique touch to the dining experience. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavors and cooked to perfection. The quality of ingredients used was evident in each bite.
I highly recommend trying their signature banana leaf rice sets, Bamboo Briyani’s and the most delicious Shell Out which is a must try. The flavors and spices used in their curries were well-balanced and truly tantalizing to the taste buds.
Overall, my visit to Oh Yeah Banana Leaf Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, warm hospitality, and the attentive service provided by Sree and his team made it a truly memorable dining experience. I cannot recommend this place enough, whether you're a local or a tourist visiting Brickfields. It's definitely...
Read moreWent to this outlet after previously eating at the Batu caves branch which I had a wonderful experience and the food was really well prepared, but this outlet did not even come close to the quality and service level that Batu caves outlets provided. I ordered Ghee Roast in both the outlet and you can see the difference in size of the ghee roast and the variety of chutney that was given , Batu caves exceeded my expectations while brickfields was so underwhelming. Let the picture speak for itself I have labelled the pictures . Batu caves outlet ghee roast was around 2ft long while the brickfield one was half that.
The reason I gave 1 star for this outlet Service: I ordered ghee roast and they gave me ghee tosai and when I said I wanted ghee roast the server said this is it and was every trying to convince me that it was ghee roast and when I showed the picture I took when in Batu caves outlet the immediately took the tosai that they served and brought a new one . Come on people I have eaten this tosai before so don’t come and try to act smart.
Food Quality: The ghee roast was extremely small compared to the other outlet I understand the difference in rent so that you need to reduce the size to compensate but make sure to have a standard quality, the roti telur was under cooked and was like half boiled egg while the roti was thick and not flacky. The chicken varuval was all bones and no meat.
I’m happy that oh yeah is expanding and opening many outlet it’s a sign of growth but don’t compromise on the quality and standards that made you to grow just for money .i hope the management go and try out the same dish in every outlet to see the quality and standards ensure its the same across...
