I visited Ozeki Tokyo restaurant for lunch with my colleagues and we had a great experience. The restaurant is located at the ground floor of Menara TA One, a skyscraper in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant has a modern and elegant interior, with a spacious dining area and a sushi bar. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast and efficient.
We ordered a variety of dishes, including sashimi, sushi, tempura, yakitori, and udon. The food was fresh and delicious, and the portions were generous. The sashimi was especially impressive, as the fish were imported from Tsukiji, the famous seafood market in Japan. The sushi was also well-made, with rice that was fluffy and vinegar that was balanced. The tempura was crispy and light, and the yakitori was tender and flavorful. The udon was thick and chewy, and the broth was rich and savory.
The restaurant also offers a wide selection of drinks, such as sake, beer, wine, and cocktails. We tried the Ozeki sake, which was smooth and fragrant, and complemented the food well. The restaurant also has a dessert menu, which features some Japanese classics, such as mochi, green tea ice cream, and dorayaki. We had the mochi, which was soft and chewy, and filled with sweet red bean paste.
Overall, we had a wonderful meal at Ozeki Tokyo restaurant, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. The restaurant has a high quality of food, service, and ambiance, and the prices are reasonable for the value. It is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, and we look forward to...
Read moreThey have an interesting decor. Unique but can't really put my finger on the thematic idea. However, I did find the table arrangements here a little tight and close. Menu shows quite a lot of variety and if you are looking for Japanese food, I am sure you can find something in there to sate your hunger.
As far as food is concerned, fresh, delicious, have good calculated portions and well cooked. I found the unagi set well portioned, fresh delicious unagi, good thick fresh sashimi and fairly hot miso soup and chawan mushi. The salmon sushi was delicious and the thick pieces of salmon was a bonus.
The escargot comes fresh from the oven and piping tongue burning hot. Great oily gravy and yummy bread made this a tummy filling dish. Sadly I didn't enjoy the avacado prawn snack. I couldn't find the taste and texture balance that the chef was trying to convey and ended feeling more confusion rather than satisfaction after the eat.
The halibut however was yummy. Lovely soft meat texture and having a delicious fatty layer just made it an enjoyable dish overall. I ended up the meal with satay. Or skewered meat. All of them were impressively flavoured and cooked. No tough overcooked meat and no rawness to it. This is definitely, to me at least, worth an order for sharing and snacking.
In short, superb meal, interesting environment, enjoyable quiet where you can have a good conversation with your group makes this a good place to...

First off, this is a review of their delivery service and not dine-in.
“The best Japanese Cuisine in town!” an extremely bold statement to make. They pride themselves upon the freshness of their seafood which is imported from Tsukiji but how will they fare in a delivery service?
Service: We placed the order via a third party app which was pretty straight forward.
Packaging: Ordinary take away boxes.
Wagyu Bowl (RM 52)
Beautifully plated within the box like a gastronomical piece of art, the alluring scent tickles ones palate the moment one peeks into the box. The wagyu beef, though it wasn’t the Japanese “melt-in-your-mouth”, was extremely tender and flavourful. The rice had a beautiful slightly sticky, yet smooth texture which surrounded a slightly runny onsen egg in the middle. Completed with a downpour of sesame seeds and spring onions to give the dish a refreshing and exciting crunch with a drizzle of Teriyaki and truffle for a sweet yet savoury finishing touch.
Recommended? By far one of the better and most value for money Japanese Cuisines we have had.
