Sukiya Tokyo Bowls & Noodles LaLaport BBCC — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

It was a really disappointing dining experience here. We came on a Saturday dinner time, which should be their peak hour, but the restaurant was seriously understaffed. The waiters were too busy handling the full house and kept making mistakes.

For example, we ordered a beef don with egg, but the waiter mistakenly served us a beef don without egg taken from another table. We had to remind them it was the wrong dish. Other tables around us also received wrong dishes, and the waiter had to run back and forth correcting mistakes.

We also ordered a set meal with chawanmushi, but only after serving the meal did they tell us it was out of stock, asking us to change to another side. We changed to salad, but they were so busy that they forgot to serve it until we reminded them again.

The worst part was the onsen egg — it was served ice cold, like it came straight from the refrigerator, and honestly it was disgusting.

Overall, very poor service and food quality. Definitely not the kind of experience expected for a busy...

Wow, your staff must have a truly unique service strategy. Dirty plates everywhere like it’s part of the interior design. I asked for the QR code to order, but clearly, ignoring customers is the priority. Instead, he rushed to handle a payment that took forever (The payment took quite a while, possibly because there was an issue), while I just stood there like an idiot. It’s not that hard to show the QR code first while continuing with the payment, especially since I’d already asked. What made it worse was that after he finally finished. He went to serve another table with two girls who came way after me. I guess “first come, last served” is your new policy. Brilliant work, 5 stars for creativity.

Manager if look at this, maybe consider hiring staff who actually have some energy. Your current staff look like they’re being forced to work. There are plenty of people out there need this...

I ordered chicken teriyaki set & my date ordered gyudon set with spicy ontama add on.

1. my set was delivered without the chawanmushi until I had to ask for it (waiter's excuse was it will take another 5mins to cook but we weren't informed until asking)
2. in my date's spicy ontama there were egg shells in it and we only realised after taking a bite. (After making a complaint the waiter offered to give a new bowl but when they gave no sorry nothing!)
3. the miso soup felt so watery and tasted so bad
4. the potato salad on both sets were just horrible it tasted like it was made from powder
5. the waiters in general could learn a couple of things about being nice and courteous to customers
6. The portions were not worth it at all.

Will never ever set foot in any sukiya bowl places...
