Incident happens on Tuesday: I matched with a Chinese girl on Tinder with made up name Aleysa, over our initial discussion to decided to catch up at bukit bintang in the Evening. We met near Lion Office Tower around 6ish pm and Aleysa says she hungry and recommends this place.( She resists coming to other place which I suggested by saying her father is working nearby for some Chinese construction, this was moment I had my Peter tingles and started recording video secretly here and there). We enter vermut, a server (her partner in crime ) welcomes us and directly recommends us to sit inside the restaurant near bar counter by handing food menu😅. Aleysa starts acting as if she never seen vermut's menu and asks her best recommendations. That useless conversation goes for 5 mins and she order some food and I ordered sandwich (yes a sandwich 😛 in Spanish bar). Now starts the traps, then next Aleysa asks for bar menu and orders brandy and by herself she gives me excuse that she doesn't like alcohol which is cold. After having some well rehearsed discussion with her partner in crime server, she orders wine which happens to bei Château Lafite Rothschild. Her partner in crime says we don't serve wine in glass and you have to order bottle. Aleysa looks at me and orders wine bottle considering that I approved it. I ordered a pint of Stella beer. Another server comes with bottle and two wine glasses and serves wine for both( I think he was not part of there plan and doesn't know I ordered beer). I gone with the flow and had cheers (Aleysa shows her actress skills again here while holding the glass wine and swirling the wine in glass, brownie points for her for this performance). Wierd thing is after clicking cheers she keeps the glass on table and asks her partner in crime for ice, he takes the wine glass from the table, goes inside the restaurant kitchen and brings backs the glass with coke and one ice cube. Aleysa shows her gratitude to server by says thanks and drinks it. This same scene happens for two rounds. As I wanted to reveal the things out, I asked her whether I can take a sip from her glass, she hesitates it by saying she has COVID😅. I gently took the glass from her hands, poured some in my empty glass swiftly and tasted it. I said I knew it, "it's Coke", and thanks for the giving me such good content. She baffled and tried to show more acting skills but I didn't entertain her. I left the immediately and got back to my regular place , met my friends and shared my experience and laughed.

Read moreWent for a simple dinner on a Friday night, 2 pax. Was a last minute decision to head over so we called 20mins before 9pm to make a table reservation. Thank goodness we did because the place was packed by the time we arrived, and I saw most tables were reserved already.
Food: Jamon Bellota (Iberico Ham) (RM65): Would definitely recommend this if you enjoy Iberian ham 😋 it tasted fresh and almost similar to the one we had in Spain.
Gambas Ajillo (Spanish Garlic Shrimp) (RM33): Loved this dish. Must order! So far the best one I’ve tasted in KL :) It comes with a basket of bread (4-5 slices), and the waiter told us that we could refill it up to max. 2 times. We only refilled once and it was sufficient.
Angus Beef (RM39): This was not too shabby but I personally wouldn’t order it again and rather try others. The meat was pretty tender but it was lacking some taste, felt like it wasn’t marinated enough?
Patatas Bravas (Potatoes) (RM21): This was not too bad too but roasted potatoes generally tastes the same everywhere, so I think it’s more of a dish to eat just to have some carbs 😬
..oh and they have a complimentary dish with olives too :D
Price: We spent RM173 for 2 pax, for 4 dishes and no drinks. I think it’s quite reasonable considering we order the jamon.
Atmosphere: Do note that it can get quite noisy here as it’s a restaurant+bar. So people are drinking, speaking loudly, and it can get difficult to have a conversation at times as the noise just bounces off the walls and gets a little ringing.
All in all, I’d definitely come back here again. My fav place for Spanish food in...
Read moreGot a good amount of dishes to share and felt like the food was average… some dishes were underwhelming: the paella and croquettes (not pictured). I think it might also be because we’ve heard good things about the place and our expectations were a tad high?
The pork was ok, the steak was a bit chewy for me, the eggplant and peppers were quite good, and the best dish of the night goes to the prawns; used the bread to dip in the garlic oil, so good. The patatas bravas were also enjoyable.
Service was ok, although the restaurant can get quite loud so you have to raise your volume to get others to hear you.
Probably will come back to try their other dishes since people seem to love the place, maybe we just didn’t get to try their...
