We had reserved a table for 11 at 21:30 and arrived just in time hoping for nice Christmas eve dinner. Our evening unfortunately got off to a rough start as we were made to wait for our table for half an hour. We accepted this, even if no attempt was made to apologize. This should have been our first warning to just leave and enjoy our Christmas eve somewhere else.
When we were finally seated we were presented with only one copy of the menu for our entire group. We were told to pick our options as soon as possible. We complied and presented our choices to the staff. We received 3 bottles of wine and an array of wet glasses, of which none were actual wine glasses. This should have been our second warning to just leave and enjoy our Christmas eve somewhere else.
After another half an hour we still hadn't received our entree and we were starting to ask the staff what was going on. The staff then told us that some of our dining choices were not available anymore, so we switched to accomodate this. A few minutes later we were told that some of our new choices were not available as well. We started to get annoyed all the while still no attempts were made to apologize. We returned to our table and waited some more. After an hour and 45 minutes we still had no food and started to complain to the staff. We were told to wait and we did.
Finally, our entree was brought to us. The house special "Cajun shrimp sweet potato bites with no traces of any shrimp." This was the final straw for us and we decided we were leaving, finally an attempt for reconciliation was made, a 20% discount and 2 free bottles of wine. Within minutes our main course also arrived, which they tried to serve to us without having cleared the table from our entrees. Mind you, this was all happening while we were trying to leave. Amidst all this chaos we still left and decided to continue our Christmas eve elsewhere.
The restaurant still had our 500rm deposit, which we frankly think is more than they deserve after the trainwreck of an evening they...
Read moreThis place doesn't deserve even 1 star for me to rate. Beyond words, speechless, shocked with the 'fine dining' services. Takes more than 45mins for the ice water and wine, food takes about more than an hour close to 2hour. What's the point of paying 50% booking fees and everything is not well prepared. We come in with full of excitement and happiness to celebrate Christmas eve with friends and relative, sadly it turned out stressful and full of disappointment. Manager of the restaurant not even apologitic when we give her honest feedback about what happening tonight, worst it not only happen to our table but others customers as well and the manager just reply 'its just my 3rd day here'. Staff direct us to our table, with no menu on table, hard sell on the wine we doesn't want, refuse saying it worth the 10% promotion for the wine, but we doesn't want the wine. Main foods come in first without the appetiser yet, we have to manual follow up with the staffs not 3 times but at least more than 5 times to asked where the foods and drinks and missing of 1 set of cultury. Not bother to wait another mins/hour for the dessert, just not worth for us to stay, our mood are so spoiled. A Christmas set was offered in Luuma, good environment bar place, just too bad the management and staffs of Luuma have disappointed most of 100% customer tonight for sure, you are not ready for this Xmas promo at all, lack of communication, keep promotiong the wine we don't even interested, no customer service statisfaction, hospitality service zero, no coordination at all! This would be my first and last to Luuma. Those coming to Luuma tomorrow, please consider to get them pay back ur 50% deposit fees and go to other restaurants. Else u end up to wait ur food 1-2 hours,...
Read moreMy recent visit to LUUMA left me thoroughly impressed. Tucked away amidst the bustling cityscape, this rooftop bar offers a serene escape with breathtaking views and a laid-back ambiance.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly guided me to a cozy spot overlooking the city skyline. The atmosphere was inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements and ambient lighting that set the mood for a memorable evening.
The highlight of my experience was undeniably the panoramic views. From my vantage point, I could admire the city's landmarks illuminated against the night sky, creating a picturesque backdrop for socializing or enjoying a quiet moment of reflection.
The menu boasted an array of handcrafted cocktails and flavorful appetizers. I opted for their bottled beer, which cost RM34 inclusive tax. Pretty hefty but expected. The food menu offered a variety of options, ranging from small bites to hearty dishes, all prepared with care and attention to detail.
What truly stood out to me was the impeccable view. Throughout the evening, I found myself immersed in conversation with fellow patrons, all drawn together by the allure of this hidden gem. Whether savoring a drink solo or mingling with friends, LUUMA provided the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment.
In addition to the impressive ambiance and attentive service, I appreciated the attention to cleanliness and safety measures. The establishment adhered to strict protocols, allowing guests to unwind with peace of mind.
