5-Star Vegetarian Dining Experience

I recently dined at Bombay Talkies, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish! As a vegetarian, I’m always on the lookout for restaurants that truly understand how to create flavorful, creative, and satisfying plant-based dishes—and this place nailed it.

The menu was diverse and innovative, offering everything from hearty comfort food to light, refreshing options. I started with the roasted cauliflower bites with tahini drizzle, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. For my main course, I had the wild mushroom risotto—creamy, rich, and bursting with umami. Every bite was a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet modern vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring everything was to our liking. They even accommodated a minor dietary request without any hassle.

To top it all off, the dessert was a showstopper—a decadent chocolate avocado mousse that was both indulgent and guilt-free.

If you’re a vegetarian or just looking to explore plant-based cuisine, Bombay Talkies is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their incredible dishes! Highly...

Their genuine warmth and friendliness added a special touch to each dining experience. This Vegetarian Indian restaurant offered a diverse menu with flavorful dishes that showcased the richness of vegetarian cuisine. vegetable curry, Paneer and Ginger tea was particularly memorable, with a perfect blend of spices and textures.

Overall, my lunch experiences in Kuala Lumpur's vegetarian restaurants were truly memorable. The delicious food, combined with the exceptional service and welcoming atmosphere, made for a truly delightful and unforgettable culinary journey.

Tips for fellow travelers: Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. They are knowledgeable and eager to help you choose the best dishes.

Disappointed After Three Visits – Serious Oversights at a Fine Dining Establishment

This was my third visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience left us deeply disappointed.

• First Visit: The wait time was unusually long, and the food was overly spicy—not quite the experience one expects from a fine dining venue. • Second Visit: A takeaway order. It was decent, with no major issues. • Third Visit: This is where things went seriously wrong.• We found a piece of wire scrubber in one of the dishes. While the staff replaced it upon being informed, such a lapse in kitchen hygiene is alarming—especially at a place that positions itself as upscale. • What truly upset us was being served a spoiled dessert—specifically, the carrot (gajar) halwa. This wasn’t just a minor flaw; it was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about food safety and quality control.

We understand that mistakes can happen, but repeated lapses—especially involving hygiene and spoiled food—are not something we can overlook. A fine dining restaurant should uphold higher standards, and sadly, this experience...

I had the pleasure of dining at **Bombay Talkies** in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish packed with authentic flavors. We tried the **Vada Pav**, which was crispy and flavorful, and the **Butter Naan** paired perfectly with the **Marwari Pappad Kofta** — a rich and creamy delight. The **Palak Chat** was a refreshing twist, bursting with unique spices and textures. What truly made our visit special, however, was the excellent service. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, especially **Miss Nisha** and **Mr. Arthur**, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Their warmth and professionalism really stood out. I highly recommend Bombay Talkies to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience in Brickfields. I will definitely be returning.

We dined at Bombay Talkies three times during our stay in Kuala Lumpur, and each visit was an absolute delight! The food was authentic, flavorful, and expertly prepared. We tried a variety of dishes, including the sizzler, chaat, vada pav, chaap, pav bhaji, and refreshing buttermilk, and each one was a burst of deliciousness. The ras malai and other Indian desserts were the perfect sweet ending to our meals. The ambiance was neat, clean, and vibrant, with nostalgic OG Indian movie frames adding a charming touch to the vibe. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Bombay Talkies offers an amazing culinary experience that shouldn’t be missed when in Kuala Lumpur. Highly recommended—5/5 without a doubt! Will definitely return on our next trip.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Bombay Talkies Vegetarian Vegan Restaurant! We kicked off our meal with the Malai Tandoori Savoury Chaap, which was flavorful and well-seasoned. For our mains, we tried the Pav Bhaji Burger, a fun and delicious twist on the classic street food, and the Indian Sizzler, which was hearty and packed with bold flavors. To wrap things up, we indulged in the Strawberry Shortcake vegan ice cream—it was absolutely delightful! The food was great, and the service was just as good. One of the highlights of our visit was exploring the movie-inspired decor, with walls adorned with Bollywood classics, making it a fun and nostalgic touch. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a vegetarian or vegan spot with a cinematic vibe!
