Overall (4/5): A solid all round Indian restaurant. Just finish the renovations and spice up the buffet sauces.

Food (4/5): They have their own coal tandoori out the front which is a definite plus. If you want a tandoori set, consider it a 5. Fresh bread, tandoori chicken cooked on site. Very nice. My chicken was excellent, fresh, juicy and some of the best I've had in Malaysia. Their style of naan is a little fluffy. Thosai was very good. The chickpea dahl was a little plain and needed some more spice.

Veggie friendly (4/5): As usual a great range of veggie options.

Price (5/5): Around RM60 for 2 including 2 beers. My 'combo tandoori set' was around RM15 which is great value.

Service (5/5): Really nice guys, very open to a few 'custom' orders and nothing 'not available' (as is so often the case on Malay menus).

Atmosphere (4/5): Standard Malaysian Indian restaurant. Nothing special. Plastic tables, metal plates, some hustle and bustle. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, just people getting dinner. It looks like they started to renovate the inside (plaster seems fresh) but never...

I don't know why it has so bad reviews in gmaps, and so many good on tripadvisor but the truth is that food is very good let's say 9/10, tandoori chicken set was big and good chicken meat. Naan has a bit lack of intensity but was good. Grilled mixed vegetables were also tasty. Service may be improved in terms of politeness and positive attitude but instead of that a bit cold talk everything was made properly, we get our food in 5-15min after order. You pay at the counter so it's also convenient and fast, once again no smile or even goodbye but it's good resto. Prices are good as for Tanah Rata, moderate-high as for Malaysian street food. It was 11.70 chicken set, 9.50 vegetables and 4 gralic naan with toppings/souces. Haven't tried juices but...

Me and husband had been having a hard day finding good food in cameron as we never been here after some time,after a long day we was going through the google for satisfy our craving on indian food,fortunatly we found a good review shop in tanah rata and decided to move there to satisfy our taste buds,we reached there and viewed just a normal kind of shop infront of us,we sat and were attended by a friendly staff and we ordered food,service was excellent bcoz food came in just 5 min time,and the taste was unbeatable,never been had a good food like this,a definetely must try shop and will highly recommend to our friends and family,will surely come back for more food.Thank You Kumar Restaurant for this awesome food...
