It has the standard cafe setting, the ordering counter has a display corner proudly showcasing the pastries and sweets of the day while the main dishes are listed on a menu. We were there at noon and some of the cakes were already sold out, so plan your trip here accordingly.
We were very pleased with both our orders- Korean Garlic Cream Cheese Bread and Niko Neko Matcha Mont Blanc; the former one had a hard crust but the inner part was soft and filled with the right amount of Cream Cheese... it was good for sharing and may be overly surfeited for one to finish entirely. Also, the crust was not as crispy as we would have hoped. Read moreWould have been only 3 stars if wasn't the burnt cheese cake saved the day. In terms of service, there was no problem at all. Waiters are friendly and helpful. Ordered a hot long black but it was tasted too light. I believe the barista was being lazy and served me a cup of americano instead. Many of the cafes in Ipoh do this and I really disappointed. Secondly, the food portion was way too small, just like most of the cafes in Ipoh, charged KL price but served small portion food. I mean, a RM19.90 aglio olio sphagetti can finish in 4-5 bites.. that is really a big turned off for me. Anyway, I have ordered a houjicha burnt cheese cake before I left, turned out it was really good. Take away some pesto twists and croissant, they are much better I must say. Will I pay for the next visit? Perhaps yes, but only for the cakes...
Read moreLet’s begin , the mood was great while writing this , why ? Coz I just a had a great meal here, that’s why ! Ordered the Matcha , Mocha drinks , truffle fries and salmon linguine and croissant was cheesy *refer pictures , for desserts had their well known watermelon cake , my oh my it was tasty ! Croissant was soft , salmon was just right crispy , fries was rich with truffle , mocha and matcha was rich in flavor ~ their signature Watermelon cake was special ! Wanted to get one for the road , it was sold out ! It was not packed during New Year’s Day in lunch time , heard some young girls noisy about the food being slow ... but if you ask me , great things need to wait , and the food here is a work of art and its worth the wait !
