Dined in alone in the evening—and I really mean alone. I ordered the dinner set with scallops and Iberico pork, along with a cup of hot lemon tea.

First off, the decor is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in this setting—it felt like dining at my grandma’s place, complete with 80s music. If you’re someone who loves a nostalgic throwback to the 80s, you’ll absolutely enjoy the atmosphere here.

As for the food, I was somewhat disappointed. For the portion size and quality, it felt overpriced. The scallops had a nice flavor with the sauce, but the crispy topping was burnt, leaving a bitter taste. The Iberico pork dish was creatively presented but lacked warmth. It wasn’t quite hot enough, the kailan was overly salty, the Iberico pork itself was just okay, the pancake was bland, and the crispy rice didn’t add much—overall, it just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Service was attentive, which I appreciated. However, given the price, I’d expect free-flow water.

Would I visit again? Maybe, but more...

Weekday lunch - last meal to conclude our two-day Ipoh trip. Stumbled upon here since we wanted to buy salted chicken (just around the corner). We were the first customers to arrive - after which the staff turned on the aircon for us. Menu has a good range of selections, and weekday lunch sets offer good deals. Food we would say is 4 out of 5. But deco is 6 out of 5, hence averages out to 5 out of 5. What a creative setting! Lots of cool bits and bobs hanging around, and it was a lot of fun for the older folks in our company who pointed out this that and the other. Nice old-school music in the background too. I recently dined at this charming restaurant and was immediately transported back to my childhood by its vintage interior design. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax.

The food is truly exceptional—each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The staff were incredibly patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the ingredients and cooking methods, which added to the overall experience.
