If you're a fan of authentic Malaysian kopitiam culture, this place is a true gem. Their white coffee is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had – rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. You can tell it’s brewed with care and quality beans. It pairs so well with their signature egg tarts, which are absolutely out of this world!
The egg tart crust is flaky and buttery, with a satisfying crunch that gives way to a smooth, creamy custard filling. It’s not too sweet, just the right amount to make you want more. Honestly, I could come here just for the egg tarts alone – they’re that good.
The ambience is cozy and nostalgic, blending the classic kopitiam feel with a cleaner, more modern touch. Despite being busy during peak hours, the staff is always courteous and efficient. You may have to queue a bit, but the food and drinks are well worth the wait.
Prices are reasonable for the quality you’re getting, and the menu offers a good variety of local favorites too. But the white coffee and egg tarts are the real stars here.
Highly recommended for breakfast, tea time, or even a quick catch-up session with friends. This kopitiam is a perfect example of how traditional flavors can shine in a modern setting. Will definitely be...
Read moreLiked the coffee but the food is only so so. Probably doesn't fit my tongue perception well. A fair warning, this shop is frequently full and a Q is often necessary. They have a few stalls to try and I managed to try the ccf, hokkien mee and curry mee.
The hokkien mee is definitely worth a try. Good prawn umami, light clear soup with good amount of prawns. It also comes steaming hot which is always a good plus point.
I, however, didn't like the ccf and curry mee. The ccf noodles looks more like koay teow. Thin in width. The main sauce is sweet with a tinge of spice. Additional chilli as per personal choice. I must commend the silkyness of the ccf though. Easy to swallow. My tongue however still prefers the prawn paste base sauce.
As for the curry mee, a bit lacking in the balance of the soup taste. A bit jarring curry taste, now sure why, but I get the curry powder vibe with it. Didn't enjoy the overall soup flavour. I like my curry soup taste profile to be a bit smoother than this.
Fortunately the egg tart is delicious and you can see from the queue how true that is. All in all, it's a difficult decision to make with regards with the Q time and the...
Read moreThis kopitiam is usually packed especially during the lunch time and weekends. We prefer to eat at the other newer branch (back lane - the second shop) which is much more comfortable. The signature iced white coffee is a must. The coffee is thick, aromatic (slight charcoal taste) and not overly sweet (bittersweet coffee taste) 🤤. Our usual menu would be the prawn noodles (thick sweet prawn broth), asam laksa and Ipoh Kuetiau Noodles. Love the tim sums as well. Do try their char siew pau and egg tarts 😍. These you have to buy from the front shop (original kopitiam) The char kuetiau is delicious too and this too have to order from the front shop. The staffs from the branch shop are very friendly. If you go during peak hours, be prepare to wait. Highly...
