I’m so disappointed with my recent visit to this Thai restaurant. Despite charging a service charge of 10%, they failed to provide even the most basic level of service. The staff were unhelpful, rude, and completely dismissive of our concerns. We had to call for assistance multiple times, but they blatantly ignored us. So FYI we are in a group of 5, as that one particular waiter keep ignoring us, 3 of us had to call him so loud to get his attention, it was such embarrassing moment that even the neighbouring tables could hear us calling for assistance. Yet, he decided to completely ignore us even he’s just standing at the opposite side of our table. The waiter’s attitude was so disappointing. Why would he even think of serving us by placing the plate with unnecessary force ? Also, even the person at the counter doing every move with such unnecessary force, making us feel so uncomfortable. It was so unprofessional. The food was another letdown. Just like how others mentioned about the portion of Tomyum soup. The portion sizes were shockingly small, especially considering the price. The TomYum soup, priced at 18, was served in a quantity comparable to a small cappuccino cup u get outside. The food looked nothing like the image in the menu. While some of the other dishes were okay, they lacked the flavour we had experienced on previous visits here. Overall, the service and dining experience at this restaurant were so disappointing. We had a terrible time and won't be returning here again. It’s a shame that a place claiming to prioritize "hospitality with a heart" failed to deliver even basic...
Read moreIce Blended Mango was delicious. Would have had another cup if not for lack of time. 9 out of 10.
Minced Chicken with Hot Basil Leaves was very tasty and flavourful. 8.5 out of 10.
Prawns Omelette was a bit on the bland and tasteless side. My taste buds could not tell it was eggs and the prawns were plain. I think the egg mixture could have been diluted. Personal opinion. 6 out of 10.
Hong Kong Kailan with Gralic was delicious and fragrant. 8 out of 10.
Between Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns and Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice. I would choose Tom Yum even though I don’t really like Tom Yum. Reason being the Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns was missing the taste and fragrance while the Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice was so much better on taste.
Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns 6.5 out of 10. Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice 7.5 out of 10.
Normal lunch crowd but could get a seat...
Read moreI had been here a long time ago. As I wanted some hot and spicy food, my son and I decided to have some food here. We ordered the Tomyam fried rice at RM18.11, tomyam meehoon seafood at RM18.11, and ruby waterchestnut for dessert at RM9.49. My son had the Thai Iced tea RM8.63. The tomyam meehoon had a disctinct bitter taste. This bitterness is overwhelming and it just turned off my appetite. The seafood was soft and taste horrible. I left it practically untouched. We had to return the fried wings for the Tomyam fried rice on the complaint of it not being fresh. My son did not like the fried rice, too. So we just had the Ruby chestnuts and his tea. I actually had a great experience of dining at Absolute Thai in Genting Highlands. But it is a disappointment here. I will never patronise this...
