I love having Dolly Dim Sum as my comfort food on some random days. Most stores have amazing friendly staffs, fast service but not in IOI City Mall. The staffs are not as friendly, no smile and not professional at all. I’m posting this review bcs this is not my first time here, my 3rd time and the service is still as poor. Earlier today, I had to wait almost 30 mins for my food and had to ask TWO staffs to check on my order. The first female staff acted like I didn’t ask her and didn’t do anything and the second male staff who brought my food, said sorry (which I appreciate) and told me the food was late bcs it didn’t appear in their system. I was like… what??? I also asked for a fork and spoon, a staff handed me those from just besides the table in a very not proper way. In addition, one of the female staffs with hijab is always shouting for some reason, talking so loudly it’s super annoying. I notice they use some sort of a mic attached to their uniform but is it necessary to talk so loudly and not to mention it’s not related to work, in fact she was talking so loudly to her colleague about their gigi coffee order. Seriously? Annoying, unnecessary & not professional AT ALL. Please improve...

We dined in for dinner on a Sunday evening, almost kitchen closing time (kitchen closes at 9.15pm do take note).

Interior wise, I think this is the simplest Dolly Dimsum. Order was ticking the boxes on the paper, easy peasy.

We've always loved the food at Dolly Dimsum however on this occasion, I would like to highlight on a couple of things. Dolly Mozza Roll had no cheese. Na-da and we complained but could not return the dish, instead was asked to file a feedback. The Fried Kueyteow was tasteless except with concentration of soy sauce just like the Kueyteow at Pasar Malam cooked in the big kawah wok. Please stay away from the Fried Kueyteow. A better bet would be the fried rice. Other than that, the dimsums were delish! I could not get over the crispy prawn cheong fun, it had the perfect combination of fillings (prawn, scallions, onions etc).

The service, however was utterly terrible despite that it was not busy. Most patrons already left when we came in. I think we asked for the cutleries 3x in the span of 15 minutes, and finally got it when we were almost done eating. Please improve the service otherwise you are scaring...

Saturday, 29/10/23 around 5pm+ .We came here around 10pax+.We have waited for so long outside with elderly and small kids before we can get in.After almost 30mins of waiting finally got in and this brown outfit hijabi worker was very rude to us.We asked for chair nicely, but she insisted of asking us how many pax again and again and was so arrogant, forcefully pushed the desk beside me when she counted the pax more. She was 'biadap' and so unprofessional. Unlike blue outfit workers,I think they are junior but way more nicer and accomodating than her.I saw the girl talking to the manager, obviously she didnt tell the real story. I hope the superior look into this girl manners! Ruining your restaurant reputation keeping this arrogant girl in your service! Remember this world is only temporary, and she will face the hereafter! So frustrating with the service by her! If she thought she was tired everyone was tired there but can react decently. If she didnt like work in fnb then please quit! If the higher team/management think about the profit💲ONLY ,you will keep this bad girl inside your restaurant and ignore your...

My recent visit to this restaurant was a pleasant experience overall, though with a few mixed elements. The Prawn Cheong Fun stood out as an exceptional dish, especially with the chilli oil that accompanied it, adding the perfect amount of spice and depth. The Crispy Egg Noodle was above average in flavor, but I felt the portion size could have been larger considering the price. For those dining with kids, the Royal Golden Fried Rice is a great choice—it’s not spicy at all and well-suited for younger palates. However, the Chewy Meat Croquette didn’t quite hit the mark. While the texture was decent, the filling turned out to be overly oily, which took away from the overall enjoyment. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The seating area was spacious enough, with a comfortable distance between tables, preventing the space from feeling cramped. However, I did find the prices a bit on the higher side, and while some dishes were worth it, others didn’t quite justify the cost.

Was there to celebrate Mil's birthday. It was quite a disappointment. Service can be much better. Some dining areas were closed despite the queue outside, consisting of seniors and couples with baby/toddlers. Some tables were placed with dipping sauce (as should be). We had to ask for ours despite food already served. Server didnt even acknowledge request, as we hadnt spoken to her. She merely placed food stoically on table and moved on. This was generally be the vibe that day. Indifferent, with the exception of a lady server who seemed friendly. Her name started with a C. Perhaps it was a bad mojo day for the servers. Food is not as good as we've had pre Covid or ones we have eaten at other outlets. We are not new to Dolly Dim Sum. With such decline in food quality and service, perhaps (hope) this is our last. May your experience better than ours ✌🏻
