This place could've been so much more, and it probably was until the owner stopped caring about it.

You can tell how good the idea of this place was, great concept, great menu, good atmosphere, they were all dampened without just that bit more discipline that could've come with a more care. I'll explain why later.

The milkshakes are genius, especially the use of ice flakes, it should really be how we drink Milo/whatever malt drink. Great composition of ingredients, you can tell the care(or flair) the owners went into coming up with them.

The flat white was not coffee, it was milk, perhaps okay for Malaysia's standard but if you reduced the ratio of milk it would've been good, latte art is on point.

Now why I say there is no more care for the place? This is really a good establishment, so I'll be anal about it.

The fridge out front in the middle of the restaurant just spoils the look, if you looked at earlier photos of the place, it looked much better without it, if you want to argue that it sells dessert better, then only use it when there's actually enough dessert in it and not 1 plate of tarts that don't look great.

Lightbulbs that are spoiled should be replaced.

Temperature should be a bit more comfortable? Up to your discretion but I feel like you're at the level who can pull off a perfect experience and currently it feels kinda humid and warm for 4pm in the evening.

Behind the counter area should be neater without used glasses sitting there all day.

Okay that's it, that's me being anal, this place can really be good if given a little touch up. You have good staff, motivate them, they look a...

I wasn't so sure of what to eat. So I just decided to order delivery from this place. I realized that it's been a year since I had their food, and I remember that their food was quite ok. So why not give it another try...

I ordered the creamy pesto spaghetti, among other things. When my order was handed to me, I could already see a BLOCK (an indication of how much sauce came with it) of minty green color through the translucent bag. When I open the container, my suspicion was confirmed. Their sauce/pasta ratio was so off that you can see it for yourself in the picture. It didn't get better with taste. Apart from the green hue, the pesto component didn't contribute anything to the dish and the sauce tasted only of cream. I expected at least some nuttiness and saltines from the pesto. In the end, I didn't even finish the dish (I almost never throw away food).

I genuinely wondered the train of thought behind serving up this inundated concoction. Is this really the restaurant's standard/recipe? Because a Google image search could have helped them that with that. Did they just want to use up all the ingredients because it was expiring soon?

Either way, it's definitely a never...

One if not the worst food experience of my life. I had eaten there 2 times previously, wasn’t anything special but it was okay. Although today came in to get a quick lunch, ordered meatball pasta and sure, it looked good. But it tasted awful. The pasta was overcooked, mushy, not al dente like mentioned. And you can’t even call it marinara sauce if you only add tomato sauce and some onions, matter of fact, raw onions, they weren’t even cooked properly. The sauce was just not good. And the meatballs were just absolutely terrible. Overcooked, dry, did not even taste like beef, just tasted absolutely off, like it was expired. Just terrible quality ingredients that they overcharge you like crazy. For 28 RM you expect people to know how to cook a proper pasta dish. After I went home, had to throw up and had a crazy stomachache. Please, it’s not that hard to know how to cook a pasta dish, one of the most simple dishes, yet you screwed it up in every possible way. Will not ever go back there. Leaving this review so that they realise that adding more options in the menu doesn’t mean they can allow quality to be this terrible. Would not...

Entering the doors of Garage 51, the atmosphere instantly fills your vision. With their warehouse like furniture coupled with their overhead hanging lights, I actually felt excited to sit down and enjoy a meal here. Together with my partner, we chatted in the air-conditioned interior of the place while taking in the outside through huge glass pane windows that line the walls ceiling to floor. The food served was honestly quite pricey but quite delicious as per any western eatery you can find in central KL. Although of course, the place is right beside Sunway University, so their primary clientele is the students who desire a mid-high end restaurant with perfect conditions for a perfect time. Not many pictures, but the food does look quite good tho. Do come here with a group of friends for a lively chitchat alongside a meal!

The interior design and the overall ambience look cool. Service is good, the waiters are friendly and serve drinking water without being requested by customers. Coffee is great, no acidic aftertaste even if it was left to cool for around 1h. Food wise, we think it needs some work. Portion does look satisfying but the taste and flavour are quite subpar. The shimeiji is not well sautéed, it needs a more intense flavouring to balance out the intrinsic mushroom aroma. Soft shell crab tempura is nicely done, crispy and not too oily. Salad is so basic, just some lettuces with Kewpie roasted sesame salad dressings. Amount of avocado served does not match the bread size, there’s way too much avocado and we felt kinda sick (jelak) especially towards the end of the meal.
